For those wondering, OP makes this thread every year to try and convince Americans that Euro basketball is almost as good as the NBA. He does this because his Greek hero Spanoulis was one of the worst players in NBA history but has had a long Euro career.

Spanoulis was kinda like an old, giant headed Monta Ellis without any athleticism.

Vasa Micic being the MVP just speaks of how low the league has fallen. The guy is one of the more useless players i have ever watched.

I disagree with this, Euroleague had a terrible star drought when Vesely won MVP, the worst MVP possibly ever, but in the last 2 years we had very good players in Euroleague, tho if Mike James didnt have fallout in Moscow, he probably would have won MVP this year.

Spanoulis could have been poor mans Kyle Lowry IMO, but his problem that the first moment it got tough for him in his carrier, he cried and ran away whining how JVG was unfair to him. Lots of players have a tough time when they are rookies, and yeah, sometimes they mistreated for no good reason, but players usually have a competitive drive to keep working and prove themselves against the best of the best.

But dont tell this to the OP, he thinks NBA is barely any better than holly Euroleague, he thinks Spanoulis was top 3 player in the world rofl, he just recently said that Euroleague and NBA role players are same caliber, look at my signature for his latest gem, and he dares to compare Spanoulis to all time great Drazen Petrovic, because Petrovic was mistreated as a rookie too. Unlike coward Spanoulis, Drazen didnt run away when American coaches didnt believe in him and mistreated him, he kept working and at the end was almost going toe to toe with MJ, but this delusional fan dares to compare NBA bust Spanoulis to Drazen Petrovic, one of the best Euro players of all time...
