I see the Braves have called up Arcia to play left field
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

It's like that year we played Alex Gonzalez and Yuni at 1st base.

Sounds like after some investigation, it seems as though they were likely not targeting the ASG with said guns.
Glad they were caught or the situation was looked at, regardless.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I used to love it. Best pitchers facing the best hitters every AB. Now I couldn't give a ****.

Yeah, I kinda support the Angels doing like this like I support(ed) the Packers not taking any offensive players in drafts in the past decade.
The only issue is that the clock is ticking on Trout/Ohtani and the guys they get out of here that are good enough for the majors probably won't be there until the window is closing there.
Ohtani probably still has 5 years left at being super-elite but he also has an injury history and he's a free agent after '22.
Trout is going to start to regress starting this year/next year.
Rendon already will be on the downswing and has injury issues right now.
That said, if they just keep doing this...paying $130 million/year for premium hitting free agents, I guess this may eventually work.

Looks like Nelson Cruz is going to get traded again.
Looking at his career, trading him away was a terrible mistake. One of the most consistent hitters during the last 15 or so years. There was rumor of getting him back to play 1b (which he hasn't played).

So Guardians sounds awful on first reaction (and it still sounds awful), but the name is actually pretty cool IMO. I don't know why they aren't leading with the context/story behind it. From Reddit:
Cleveland has landmark bridge connecting the east and west sides of town bedecked with giant Art Deco statues called the “Guardians of Traffic.” The bridge happens to end at Progressive Field. So the “Guardians” have kept watch over the park for years.
Like...this is actually pretty dope.
