My 5 bold predications
1, Bucks win the championship
2, CP3 got injured in this series, did not finish the series
3, Giannis reinjured himself in this series, did not finish the series
4, FMVP is Jrue Holiday
5, Bud is finally

I have to say, I'm surprised the Bucks -- who look like they'll be without 2 starters heading into Game 1 -- are getting so many votes in the poll. We'll see, I guess.
2 starters? Who's the other?

Giannis and DiVincenzo (out for the year).

I think Jrue is +1600 to win finals mvp. You could get very rich. Maybe even retire.

Ah yes of course. Totally forgot about him. Thanks. My mind was thinking another one of the Bucks went down.

these are not factors any individual player can control. it's not like he gets to select the difficulty easy/medium/hard before he starts the season.

NBA fans and media are obsessed with "narrative" and "legacy" to the point of absurdity. None of the other major sports in the US obsess about it to this degree.

Yup, ironically fans and media created the super team through their idea of narrative and legacy. Players like Barkley, Ewing, and Stockton are some of the greats, but people keep mentioning rings as the only measure of success. When you keep using rings and championships as the only measure of success, no crap perennial all stars and superstars are going to team up, the thing that so many fans despise.

I wouldn't even call these bold predictions. They are honestly bound to happen. If Giannis misses 1 to 2 games and the Bucks lets say win 1 or 2, either Jrue or Kris will play an important role. That would lead them to contend for the FMVP if they win it. Even if Giannis has some big games later on.

Either way, I'll be majorly happy that a success-starved franchise (and fanbase) will finally taste GLORY!

I thought we were a first round out, second round out max, so I feel like I'm mostly playing with house money here, especially with the Giannis situation being murky. I DO expect him to play in this series by game 2 or 3. Even so, I think this Bucks team, even without Giannis, is better than the one Phoenix faced in the Clippers which pushed them at times.

I love Chris Paul, and although I'll probably loathe him by the end of this, I can make my peace with the guy I consider to be the best PG of all time getting a Championship at 36 even though I'll still seethe over choosing Jrue over him.

I know Chris Paul doesn’t have any integrity and that the Suns have been a nothing franchise for most of their existence, but if they really respected the game, they wouldn’t accept this championship.

We’ve never seen anything even approaching this in league history, it’s a joke.

Strike for baiting/trolling.

Which is why people liking the Bucks to win should bet a good amount on Middleton and/or Jrue to win finals mvp. If the Bucks win, it's because one or both of them had a great series, and Giannis would have to have a monster series to get mvp considering he will be playing less games.

I'm a Suns fan and I think they will win, but big opportunities for those who like the Bucks side.

Apparently you have to be a super team to win championships these days. Had Paul joined the Lakers or Nets on the league minimum, and won a title, mad respekt, well deserved title.

Lakers/Nets fans seem to forget that guys like AD/Kyrie are 50% at best to get through the playoffs (without getting hurt) at this point. You should factor that into your analysis.

For those of you saying the Suns shouldn't accept the championship if they win are being ridiculous.

Should Shaq and Kobe forfeit their championships vs the extremely weak Kidd let Nets team?

That team was a pretty weak one and they advanced because the East was such a weak conference at the time.

The Portis/Lopez pairing has the potential to be a problem for Phoenix without Giannis, and it's something to watch. Team's don't employ frontlines with that type of beef, height, and ability to bully down low while being wholly capable of knocking down threes. It's pretty unique and a look teams haven't seen during the regular season. Phoenix will have to figure it out on the fly. If Ayton is going to stay home, he's going to be giving a wide open look to one of them, if he steps out, the rim is clear. Milwaukee doesn't have the downhill, "build a wall otherwise you can't stop this" going on for them without Giannis, but they do have four guys who can hang 20+ on any given night who are capable of doing it from all over the floor.

Bobby has been overlooked in the shuffle of the season, but shouldn't have been. He's been excellent.
