The media are so afraid to ask pointed questions. My first thought is not about how Kyle impacts any draft decision because you just know the standard line will be about how they are focused on BPA.

I'd ask that there is a general consensus of the top four players: Cade, Mobley, Green and Suggs. While the order might be different, do you generally have the same four at the top of your board?

How likely are you to keep the pick?

Have you received interest in your picks?

Sad Tolzman has to say that smh BUT...

Hopefully stupid mock drafts can stop citing Lowry leaving as the rationale for choosing Suggs. If we do it will be because our management actually believes he is BPA but I will also say personally I don't think they're sold on him being the unanimous choice and that it won't surprise me one bit if the Raps do actually elect to take Barnes or Kuminga instead IF Mobley doesn't by some miracle drop to us. Also if CLE reached for one of Barnes/Kuminga, I have zero doubt Raps want and would take Mobley over Suggs, no questions asked.

It's basically, will you select an inferior player that plays another position?

1) Panic and draft Barnes.

2) Draft Cade with confidence.

3) Trade with OKC for #6, 16 and 18...lol

Just out of curiosity, is there any chance OKC would want to package their picks to trade up for #4?

It would be a crazy day if they did, and Siakam got traded for Golden State's picks, just so Masai/Bobby could go HAM on a draft rebuild this summer.

I don’t want okc’s picks. Give us SGA.

Fvv
SGA
OG
Pascal
A center better than Baynes

And we’re back in the mix with a great young core!

I would think unlikely unless both OKC really wants someone at #4 (ex. Suggs), and TO is fine with either Barnes/Kuminga while also getting multiple FRPs in return.

Guys like Cam Thomas, Cooper, Todd and Ziare Williams are the best value picks if they go where they're projected rn

The problem is OKC doesn't have enough to move up unless they trade one of their own future picks. Atlanta traded the 3rd overall pick for the 5th pick and then the 10th pick a year later. Boston traded the 1st pick for Philly's 3rd pick and then a pick that turned out to be a late lottery pick a couple years later. Given the significant gap between the top 4-5 and the rest of the draft, teams are going to have to pay a premium for a top 4 pick. OKC's 6th pick and a couple late FRP's aren't going to get the job done. Only way it works is if they throw in like 5 picks or one of their own picks which will most definitely land in the lottery over the next 3-4 years.

I have never understood the simplicity of the "we take the BPA" strategy. Does that mean who the best player is or who the best player could be? I understand it's to say we won't select based on needs of the roster.

Giannis wasn't likely the BPA in his draft class at the time but is now.

Suggs is clearly the best player today at 4 but does that mean they don't think Kuminga can be better down the road? Maybe I am overthinking it.

None if this Scottie Barnes zero offence crap.

this is so disingenuous considering chris paul was the best player on the floor last night.

There's not really much you can get from an assistant GM, anyway. But yeah, something like, "are any picks you were considering at 7 still in play at 4?" or "Is the cost for moving up from 4 higher than in other years, given the perceived strength of the draft?"

This is also disingenuous because he was 10/10 from the line with 6 assists and +18 (and Paul also is someone who can score.)

Thanks for sharing, I hadn't watched this video of Suggs with the national team (I've watched a ton!)

This one highlighted some of that football athleticism, especially on drives and finishing through contact. He's just really strong on his feet.
