Even though he isn't known as a elite shooter, you can tell just off his shooting Mechanics that he's only gonna get better. He'll be above average for his career for sure.

Just look at what we did with OG's 3pt shooting

Same with Jordan and Kobe right? Or maybe they just didn't work hard enough?

75% FT is decent but not great.
Jordan and Kobe played in a different era when the 3pt shot wasn't as important.

Tolzman cracks me up. He is like a robot in front of the mic, or at least he is a slow processor in interviews. I can almost feel him plotting out his answers at times. He needs to loosen up.

The media who got him to talk a bit about the 4 pick should have asked how many prospects are in consideration at that range. I am dying to know if it is more than the consensus four.

I really wanted Scottie Lewis to come out last year. He is such a high energy defender; however, he stayed and showed zero improvement as a shooter/scorer. Aaron Henry by comparison showed how versatile he was last year. Maybe it is just the Florida system.

I liked how he made a face when the interviewer compared Wieskamp vertical to Lewis. The thing no one has really seen is how athletic Lewis is. He is a freak on the level of Keon Johnson. Look at him in highschool:

I agree;
Suggs took only around 100 3PTA in College @ 34% but still had a FG% over 50 he should be able to figure it out. The thing is his role on the team wasn't to be the guy who took 3s the Gonzaga offense was pound it inside to Timme or fire it on the outside to Kispert.

If I am really looking for something to concern myself with its shooting 75 FT%;
We are going to learn really really quickly if he is as coachable and as "Gym Ratty" as he seems to be advertised by the end of summer league.

Thanks for the vids. I like that they're looking at different players across the board because like Tolzman said you never know what happens in draft night.

Around the 9:12 mark, he mentioned we could end up with 2 additional picks 8-). I think he's just speaking hypothetically, but hope it turns out to be true :lol:.

Honestly, shooting splits of 50 FG / 34 3PT / 75 FT for a freshman with a moderately high usage are encouraging. Not many freshman posting 50/40/90.

Nah people bank too much on potential. Kispert imo has a very clear path to success in the league. He has an extremely high floor, should be valuable right away and shooters are in high demand. You don't think the Warriors or Pelicans could use a knockdown shooter?

For some teams, it's smart to just take the safe player who has a clear role rather than drafting Papagiannis.

Wieskamp: 6'7" 25.2 pts 11.8 rebs 2.8 assists 2.6 TOVs 1.8 stl 0.8 blks 41.2% 3P 77.2% FT 60.1% TS 6'11" length age 21.8

Kispert: 6'7" 23.3 pts 8.1 rebs 2.8 assists 2.1 TOVs 1.4 stls 0.7 blks 40.8% 3P 82.4% FT 62.6% TS 6'7" length age 22.3

Wieskamp seems superior, yet is a projected middle of the 2nd round guy and Kispert is projected as a lottery pick, I don't understand it.

Probably because Kispert is a JJ Reddick level sniper. His age and draft position is a perfect storm to end up with a team like Memphis.

The great thing is, I trust the Raptors to make the right pick. They've earned our trust. But that won't stop the meltdown here if they go off the board. People whined about Skal for weeks.

this is exactly what I'm expecting as well until they see the prospect play in summer and all collectively change their minds.

I like the fact that even though he shot 34 from 3 his FG% was 50 which shows that he didn’t settle for taking bad 3s if there was a better shot available.
I’d be worried if he shot low 40s but shooting 50% overall probably points to good shot selection.

Masai and Bobby built a champion out of 3&D players. Not getting a perimeter player who can’t shoot.

CBS now has Bouknight number 5 on their big board.

He’s my target if we were to trade for another pick

I feel like i'm usually good with identifying talent in the drafts and I for sure thought Skal was and should've been the pick. I was completely wrong there, even after their rookie years and I was still hyping skal in the back of my head.

I thought bruno had a shot to be a valuable pick at where he was drafted

I thought Harris was more promising than Flynn on draft day

I was one of Bargnani's biggest fans

I wasn't the biggest fan of Jakob, still isn't

this all goes to show that, we all can be wrong, a lot of this comes down to fit / luck / player & player development

I'm just focused on Mobley. I feel that's best case situation.

If Green doesn't go #2, he will go #3 for sure. But if Mobley doesn't go #2, I don't think it's guaranteed he goes #3.

Mobley is best case for us
