Re: Your top 5 most underrated/overrated 21 prospects
Underrated:
1 Sharife Cooper - Raw, poor man's Trae Young but if he becomes just a poor man's Trae Young, that's still a really damn good player.
2 Josh Giddey - Poor man's LaMelo Ball but when Ball hits his prime, and Giddey hits his, that's still a really damn good player.
3 Scottie Barnes - Reminds me of another Scottie but even better at this stage.
4 MJ Walker - Not sure why he's not in the mocks. He might not be as versatile as Duarte but he's a legit 3&D SG. He's the next Danny Green.
5 Quentin Grimes - The next Josh Hart
Overrated:
1 & 2. Tennessee kids - Jaden Springer and Keon Johnson, I don't think they are bad kids, I just don't know what they are at the pro level.
3 Day'Ron Sharpe - Impressive metrics but 19.2mpg at UNC doesn't do it for me. I think he's three years away from any true production.
4 Isaiah Jackson - I like IJ and I think the Claxton comparisons aren't bad and I see some Larry Sanders in him but he's just not long enough to be a 5 as his height and too limited to be a 4 whereas Claxton has more skill. He has a lot of bust potential and for bigs, they literally can go to your team and not get better in two years. You gotta develop them and put them in reasonable situations.
5 Cameron Thomas - He's a legit bucket but that's it. He's a 6th man off the rip. I wouldn't take him higher than 18. Knicks at 19 is when I would consider and I like Nyland more overall. To me, 6th man scorer types are a niche. They shouldn't go higher than 18 in most draft years. You can find decent 6th man types undrafted. No need to risk a 4-year commitment on this. Guys like Clarkson and Lou Will were 2nd rounders. It's just not that valuable to winning Basketball. A two-way rotation player is FAR more valuable than a scoring 6th man.

I don't blame him, this is a deep draft and he was not getting his due imo.

Re: Your top 5 most underrated/overrated 21 prospects
I agree with a lot of these like Mcbride and Wieskamp remaining somewhat unaccounted for in your standard online mock drafts that are slow to respond to updated info like combine and pro day stuff. I also think Green and Cade are both overrated still and not much will change that. But they are still top 10 prospects

Yeah he’s growing on me. Got humbled abit from high school to the G league.
But 6”10 long shooters just don’t grow on trees. Watching his interviews good kid, speaks well and is doing the Bruce Lee master of one thing deal.
I mean a bench version of Rashard Lewis or near Rashard Lewis as the outcome in the second round? Potential value.

was disappointed in his athletic testing and he is more sf probably on paper imo but he is a baller and will make it at least as a rotation 3/4 imo with the ability to play the 5 some

I don’t like him at the five. His body type screams a skinny 4 wing type.
NBA nowadays has the two wing archetypes.
The slow moving big soak volume PF is actually one of the least valued tiers on my list. They have to step out to the perimter and guards will just exploit them.
I think they’ll eventually get phased out.
We have one in Harris, there’s Hachi and the best version in Randle. They are all in the end non threatening to me and don’t bring true value.
I give teams +6 with Harris gives away free corner threes for fun lol
Todd isn’t a great defender at all. But a 6”10” shooter a good team will make that work imo.
Athletic testing too is just numbers to me. There’s so many more factors to athleticism and your game then the result of a trial.
He’s 6”10 and can shoot with a sweet stroke. That’s draft-able right there and then

Re: Your top 5 most underrated/overrated 21 prospects
Overrated:
- Jonathan Kuminga - Until I see him do something at an elite level, he's in the same camp as Jeff Green to me.
- Franz Wagner - I liked him as a pick in the 20s, but his mediocre athleticism and limited creation will limit him at the wing in the NBA. Maybe he's a glue guy, not sure.
- Ziaire Williams - It's going to be a while before you can put him on an NBA floor. KZ Okpala hasn't shown up in his first 2 seasons, and he's better built than Ziaire.
Underrated
- Jalen Johnson could be Ben Simmons with some shooting/scoring.
- Roko Prkacin could be brawny Hayward. He's at least the Rui Hachimura of this draft.
- Vrenz Bleighenberg has the best combination of length, mobility and passing I've seen since Kirilenko, and he's developing 30-ft range.
- Ayo Dosunmu is better than Shake Milton and could develop into something close to Jrue Holiday.
- Benedict Mathurin should have received a 1st-round guarantee in this draft.

You draft him hoping that he's a middle-class version of MPJ, but he's got to rebound and he's got to get in a stance. I think he goes early-mid 2nd round.
