Did you just read what Black Mage said about Ben losing his "security binky and blanket".

Decorum was lost a long time ago.

Do you honestly not understanding the difference between saying that a poster's statement was moronic and saying something about player that isn't on this board? I'm not continuing to go back and forth with you. Either follow the rules or go elsewhere. I mean really - all this because you want to make a statement like "moronic thing to say"

All good.

I like Syntax. Dude has stood tall with his stance on the Simmons situation.

Dame has publicly stated he is no seeking a trade from Portland. For me, I feel like hanging hopes on a Dame trade is too risky. I think it's time to move on from trying to force something that neither the team nor player desire. I'd rather not miss out on other viable options just to be livin on a prayer.

Say a 400$ ++++ Million dollar investment is risky at best and downright bunk at worst. Morey is a numbers guy. Would not surprise me if all three are gone in two or so years.

This

We have already blown a trade period on LeBron and went into panic mode as a result

There’s far more realistic ways of reshaping the team

For example, DeRozan has already indicated that he will be exploring FA & Pop is a big fan of Simmons while Blazers seem ready to move on from CJ & Raptors might feel the same about Lowry

Not that I would touch him with a barge pole but Dallas & KP also seem ready for a split & there’s rumours about the Pelicans & Ingram

Season hasn’t finished yet and that’s 5 big name players

I do like Ingram a lot for a Ben swap that’s seems far better for us over CJ/Derozan etc. Fits the timeline much better and gives a free bank for the future for a key foundation if everything goes bottoms up and also sorts out the now as well.

Pelicans are desperate with Zion (Pelicans can’t keep stars it’s image based). So if Ingram wants out he’ll get his wish.

He played with Adams, Ben is an upgrade 100%. Tag team Zion/Ben and shooters for days they may think that is a playoff squad. Or move Ben along to the Wolves in a three way.

They have offense and no defense.

Seems reasonable.

Sixers are up for the "repeater tax" if they are still over the cap in two seasons, which basically means paying way more than you want to. The window is two years to get it done with a high payroll.

Toby has two years left, maybe he gets moved as an expiring and the plan is to go for it in a years time.

Actual Draft trades happen before the draft commences not on the day. Only rare circumstances does it not (Mikal goddamn it). Most of it is pre planned because the clock is too skinny. There maybe be a shuffling of deck chairs to hold off a deal if there’s a prospect fall but other then that it’s 8/10 or more times this is how it’s done.

Embiid is 27, his health is a time bomb and he’s going to be on a supermax in ‘23

They will attempt to make major move(s) this off season IMO

Wait try and tempt the Pelicans with Harris + Thybulle + our 1st for Ingram oh Lordy me lol. Pump the hell out Ben early season too or at least try to and chill like a mantis.

There is the Bledsoe contract which could come into play...

Just throwing sh*t at the wall and see what sticks. Seems like a Morey move.

Simmons to MIN
Hill, Culver, 22 MIN 1st, 24 MIN 1st, and 26 MIN 1st
to NOP
Ingram, Rubio, and Hernangomez to PHI

Might take Curry or maxey as well but honestly I could see this framework

Why do you want Ingram? He is being traded because he can't play beside Zion. It won't be better with Embiid.

Now you have two 6"8' SFs.

I have real doubts that Joel/Tobi (or whoever he’s traded for)/Ingram/Rubio would beat Kat/Ben/Ant/D’lo let alone be a quantum leap forward

Number 1 priority should be an high quality pg to pair with Joel if/when Simmons goes

Paul, Lowry & Conley are all UFAs

Otherwise go for a hybrid like Draymond

Don’t know how to tell you this but everybody here knows (suspect including yourself) our offense is doo doo without multiples correct players on the court.

At least Ingram gives you the potential 1b,
2nd option 25 ppg or more long wing scorer.

also it give you the free bank on one key foundation piece if worst comes to worse and Embiid is moved.

Ingram is 23 the timeline is great for me imo.

I’m over accommodating for another player that has not accommodated for others or themselves. It’s the definition of selfish not selfless.

(I’ll give you three guesses as to who that is, starts with B ends in N.)

If we trade Simmons for Ingram we just need to swap Tobias for Cj and we are set.

Cj
Curry
Green
Ingram
Embiid

And we keep our young players, hoping Maxey, Mathisse and Reed can be solid players next season.

Maybe we can get a decent defensive pf( using hill and Green contract) so we can slid Ingram to Sf.

Ingram is a true scorer. And he's always improving. I dont know why would Pelicans make the trade altough .

again. THE Pels probably want nothing to do with Klutch and Ben and Zion is a terrible pairing.

You know, there have been some major errors here at the top of the draft, some unforced in a way (Fultz), some forced (Okafor, which was Hinkie's biggest mistake), but one that has nagged me since it happened, and never more so than now, was trading Bridges, who is and was exactly the type player this organization is searching for year in and year out, for Zhaire, a raw athlete who could never shoot. It didn't make any sense then, and has made less and less sense ever since.
