The difference is they have 2 actual stars who can take over.

TBH biggest difference is they're healthy. We were balling last year, With healthy Bam and Dragic in finals we had a great chance to win ship.

End of the day - basketball is not science. Sometimes teams get on a grove, chemistry matters alot, players get hot or cold at the right or wrong time.

If CP3 got injured and Kawhi didn't - all narrative would've been different.

What we need to do is build a team that is good enough to win IF things break down right for us. Some things you just can't predict or calculate completely/.

The underrated aspect was that we were also missing Nunn, as he was recovering from COVID. He went from playing 29mpg to 16mpg, and from being a positive player )by almost all advance metric), to a negative. His percentages went through the floor in almost all areas.

Before people say that Dragon took his minutes, Dragic only went up by 4 mins. He only took 3.5 more shots in that time, and his 3pt percentage was actually worse.

6 mins went to Herro, but again for that we got minimal extra. 2.5ppg on slightly worse efficiency.

Jimmy also picked up a chunk, and conversely Duncan dropped 1mpg.

remember I said a great built team can beat great few individual talent. You tuck your nuts and run because a team added Harden, Irvin and Durant. Otherwise another team gonna win a chip while losing on purpose. We should of known better witnessing the Spurs and Mavericks win a chip vs our Heatles

Bucks used to be a pretty well built team. Like well balanced, team ball type team just a year or two ago.

somewhere along the way, I'm guessing coz they got Jrue and lost some depths?,, they became pretty top heavy.

their big 3 isn't good enough for their bench to be this ass. get it together opie

Jrue has his flaws but he is vastly superior to Bledsoe.

This years version of the Bucks is the best version in the Giannis era, imo.

Yikes and he would get paid $35 mil average starting next year lol. Bucks are definitely done, rest of the East would get better moving forward.

NBA definitely got robbed of the epic Book/KD finals matchup.

He locked up Dragic and basically anyone he guarded against Mia. Also he offensively torched Mia in a few games.

Conversely, Bledsoe last year, was mostly ineffective against the Heat.

He is good but not max worthy.

Bucks bet on Jrue and handicapped their future and now revealing in front of their eyes unless they trade Middleton this offseason who raised his value for sure.

Jrue had a horrible series against the Nets, and now the Suns.

His regular szn numbers are solid this year so it's not like he couldn't fit in or anything.

His career playoff stats are passable. He has played 49 playoff games shooting 44/35/76 and averaging 17pts 7ast 5rb
Small-ish sample size, but I would stop short of calling him a playoff choker. At least he has solid defense to fall back on most of the time.

All in all, with some (a lot of) luck, they made it to the Finals and 4 wins away from the first chip, so it was a gamble worth taking imo. If I had the magic 8 ball, I would have gotten CP3 instead of Jrue but what other options were out there for them at the time? :dontknow: they had to do something.

I'm almost certain you can get a random joe off the street and put him on the team Vs the Heat and he will hit three's like the third coming of Curry.
