With Lillard off the table

- Jalen Green
- Brandon Ingram
- Luka Doncic

That’s it.

And we keep our young players, hoping Maxey, Mathisse and Reed can be solid players next season.

Maybe we can get a decent defensive pf( using hill and Green contract) so we can slid Ingram to Sf.

Ingram is a true scorer. And he's always improving. I dont know why would Pelicans make the trade altough .

I'd sign for this right now, although Simmons for Ingram straight up is a lot less realistic than Harris for CJ. Not sure we could do the Ingram deal without including good young players and/or picks.

Well, if I had to bet money, I'd say neither of the top 3 teams are going to offer their pick for Ben.

And there is no person in this universe that would offer Luka for Ben. If you thought Dame would cost a lot, hooboy Luka would cost everything and more.

So I guess it's Ingram, who New Orleans doesn't seem to want to trade, and who fits well with Zion. For Ben, who New Orleans hasn't seemed inclined to try to trade for, and who fits terrible with Zion.

I think what you're saying is keep Ben, right?

What's crazy is at the start of the season, most people said it was an overpay for Jrue but he was/is just what the Bucks needed. It's crazy but what the Bucks seem to need is someone like a Ben that may not score a ton of points but I bet he would do a much better job on Chris Paul.

It's hilarious that there are still Simmons defenders around

Honestly, unless its one of a handful of players, there is no reason to trade Ben for scraps. Get an alpha PG (look at what CP3 is doing for Phoenix), to get in Ben's head and take pressure off of him running the half court. Someone like Lowry, Conley, Brunson, Brogdon, etc

Less than 20 Players I would trade Ben for, and I am not saying these are realistic or one for ones, after the "-" is whether I think they are available for Simmons in some way:

Lilliard - not likely
Doncic - no way
Lebron - no way but two years with Embiid would be epic
Beal - if he declines to sign an extension, then probably avail
Tatum - nope
Fox - who knows with them.
Shai - unlikely looks like they will build around him
Lavine -maybe
Ingram - maybe but Simmons is not a great fit with Zion
PG - possible.
Kawaii -nope
Curry - nope
Any of the Brooklyn 3 -nope
Trae -nope
Booker - nope
Jamal Murray -maybe avail because of injury
Giannis - Nope
Middleton - Nope

I may have missed one, but McCollum or Brogdon I am meh on as I don't think we are much better with them while losing Ben.

Jaylen Brown and Smart for Simmons, Shake and Hill.

76ers get a number 2 star who scores and adds a tough veteran defensive guard.
Embiid/ Dwight
Tobias/ Reed/ 28 th pick
Brown / Thybulle
Green / Smart / Joe
Curry / Maxey

Boston gets a star point powerforward who is a great fit between Tatum and Horford. Add shooters like Fournier and newly acquired Shake Milton. All familiar with one Udoka who former assistant coached the 76ers.

Simmons
Shake
Fournier
Tatum
Horford

That third team would have to get something out of it.

If Ingram is on the board, why would they go for Simmons over him and why would the Pels make that trade?

Multi team deals generally feel like someone is getting **** which is why it is hard to theory craft any of those. Remember the Dwight trade...everyone was like wtf Orlando why wouldn't you take Bynum...it worked out for them (kinda) BUT still.

T-wolves getting run today, multiple legit sources. Would have to be a 3-way deal though correct? Edwards is the perfect piece to send to a 3rd team and grab Lavine, Beal, etc

76ers get: Lavine, Rubio
Wolves get: Simmons, 4th pick (from CHI)
Bulls get: Edwards, Maxey, 28th pick (from PHI)

Why's everyone so quick to give up Maxey. Chill with all that. If it's not a top 5-7 player for Ben and Maxey then he needs to not be included. LaVine and Rubio isn't good enough to include Maxey in the deal also. And I like LaVine a lot

Maybe I'm overestimating the upgrade from Simmons to Lavine but I think it would take Maxey to get that done. I could probably do without the #28 pick for Rubio part of the trade...but it's not that unreasonable.

LaVine is 26 and on an expiring contract.

I wouldn't be throwing in Maxey or a pick. Ben has more value than you're giving him credit for, and LaVine plus a pick or player is probably the baseline Morey is using to give up Ben.
