Suggs is going #6 on that draft too. Both Kuminga and Scottie going ahead of him.

Has Sharife Cooper at 28. If he goes that low and AK doesn’t attempt to aggressively move up to get him, I’ll be on fire. These are the types of high risk moves AK has to look at now in the draft. If a player with some elite traits falls due to other weaknesses that could possibly be cured, you gotta go all in to take that shot.

If he lasts that long, I do see Arturas and Marc trading into the first round to nab him. They have picks 38 and 40 to play with, as long as it isn't both picks, I'm good with that.

U19 World Cup Final is today, tipoff in 6 hours. Chet Holmgren against Victor Wembanyama. Lots of other interesting prospects (just not for this year's draft) too.

Yeah, but it's actually a pretty good year for anyone who wants to buy another pick. Lots of teams have stockpiled picks - the reality is, most teams aren't going to draft and sign 3+ rookies.

If you want to add a second round pick, these teams are heavy in the draft:

    -OKC have 16, 18, 34 and 36

    -Pistons have 1, 37, 42 and 52

    -Pelicans have picks 10, 40 and 43

    -Magic have 5, 8 and 33

    -Knicks have 19, 21, 32 and 58

    -Nets have 27, 44, 49 and 59

    -Raptors have 4, 46 and 47

    -Hornets have 11, 56 and 57

    -Pacers have 13, 54 and 60

So - there are definitely picks available if we want them. We can probably add something in the 32-44 range, and we could definitely buy a picks somewhere from 46-60

There are a bunch of high upside forwards that the Bulls should take a swing at. Some are bigger projects than others, but I’d like them to add:

    Vrenyz Bleijenbergh - F
    Greg Brown - F
    Chris Smith - F

I want as many second rounders as possible.
One or two should make the roster, then two way players and maybe a draft and stash.

He had a good draft combine. I can see him being a late first rounder. AKME would need to work some magic though. I like Hyland's game and hope to snag him though.

AKME? More like MEAK with how they're afraid to make a move to push us in one direction.

Considering they only have the 38 pick, that shouldn't be too hard.

Would love a first round trade in but I'm fine staying at 38 and taking a swing at Isaiah Todd (maybe grab another early 2nd).

He seems like an interesting prospects. Really young, but he looks athletic, has a quick first step, and has a 7 foot wingspan. He looks extremely raw though, but depending on how hard of a worker her is, maybe he could be a player. That said, despite his young age, there doesn't seem to any skill that he has that really stands out.

Why so serious?

Well, I read that wrong on the draft board and thought they had 2 2nd's.

Also, they pick swapped with the Pelicans, so they have 40 and not 38 :banghead:

I was thinking about the draft and my general lack of excitement, but I thought about it more. We ended up with a 21 year old Troy Brown Jr. in the deadline trades. TBJ, injured his ankle soon after arriving, but from the little I saw, he looks like a promising wing and is only 21. I'll be excited to see him in the rotation this year.

What do you guys think of taking a shot at the Kentucky guy BJ Boston? Most of the time these guys are boom or bust, I didn't see enough of him to have a good read on him

Haven't watched too much of him, I do know he was one of the top ranked players prior to this last season but he really underwhelmed his one year at Kentucky. His shooting is abysmal. I don't know if its just me but it seems like this years draft class have very mediocre numbers outside of the top 3-4 prospects.

At our slot Todd is one of my highest "hope for" picks at #38. I also would not mind if we spent the pick on Herb Jones, Duane Washington Jr, Roko Prkacin, Ayo Dosunmu might drop, Joe Wieskamp, Quentin Grimes, Kessler Edwards, Neemias Queta, Joel Ayayi, David Duke, Jason Preston or Jericho Sims. Vasilije Mici resigned for at least another year in Europe so he's no longer an option. We probably have no choice but to let Markannen go and add Lonzo Ball. We need a lead guard that can defend the perimeter. Not ideal, but he's the best option out there for our needs. AK just needs to buy up a couple of additional 2nd Round picks and add depth with players that can play both ends or that can defend the basket.

He's got good length for a wing. 6-7" with a 6-11 wingspan. He shot very poorly this past season. Only 35% from the field, only 30% from "3". He should have participated in scrimmages at the combine. He hurt himself by opting out. He's probably a late 2nd Rounder who will play next season in the "G" League unless he lights it up in individual workouts.
