He’s been great, but honestly I think he’s the third best player in his team. CP3 and Ayton are both better IMO.

Devin Booker is the most disrespected player on this league, period.

I'm a suns fan and I still don't think he's a superstar because he doesn't have that insane athleticism some of the all time greats have and he isn't an insanely gifted 3pt shooter like Curry.

He's a very good player and should only improve from here but he just doesn't have that extra gear to carry a bad team through the playoffs like LBJ did or Kobe.

Booker impact on the court is as of a bigger Steph Curry!

I feel the same way.

I think it's his lack of an elite first step, and his really awkward driving/pull-up game. He doesn't have many plays where he just blows by his defender, nor does he have many plays where he breaks him man down off the dribble. He has that weird stop, pump, then shoot shot that he does, and every time he hits it I question how a defense falls for it.

I think he kind of plays like a worse version of Ray Allen, and think he will get to that level. You hear that comp a lot for any SG that likes the 3, but Booker legit plays like Ray did coming into the league.

Excellent 3rd option, good 2nd option, eh 1st option. Not a superstar, but he will have his share of the limelight in this generation.

Hero Ball is what separates the atg. Kobe played hero Ball and was atg

I think Ray was significantly more athletic when he came in the league. He really slowed down by the time he joined the Cs

Not yet. But he's a FMVP trophy away. And he just about fits the NBA ideal superstar profile perfectly. He's young. He's a guard. He can shoot. He's articulate. He's likable. And (don't freak out, we're adults that can handle this) he's American with a conservative haircut and no tattoos. This guy is tailor made for the top of the nba marquee. I fully expect to see him in State Farm commercials soon. Book from State Farm almost makes too much sense. Nike fell out with Vanessa Bryant so they have a void to fill. It's right there for him. Not bad for a guy who didn't start in college.

I hate the word superstar. It’s generic with no meaning. We have all-stars, first team all-NBA teams(which is more descriptive to me) and this crappy superstar label.

Some confine it to play. Some mix in celebrity, and it’s a horrible word like celebrity in that there are D list and A list and the word doesn’t really have any meaning. Both The Rock and some star from a show in the 80s are both celebrities.

I view like the top five or six guys as superstars. At most. Guys who are single-handedly more valuable than a few lesser all stars combined. He certainly isn’t there yet.

I just use how they play. I don’t care who can sell shoes. Some do. It’s why it’s such a horrible word. Some people think there are 30 superstars in the league.

I would wait until he gets a chip to start getting excited.

Even then he has to show me a bit more first.

I think "superstar" really starts once you're All-NBA 2nd team level in a competitive field for your position. Booker would be like my All-NBA 4th team

People also forget that Book has been playing with a broken nose a big part of the playoffs... and still his impact in the games is tremendous... Stats never tell you the whole story.

I need to see another level before I call him a Superstar. I think he has another level in him, but he's definitely going to be limited by his lack of size and athleticism.

I think he's a fringe top 15 guy now. For me, I think the top 5 players in the league are bonafide superstars. Between 6-10, it's varying levels of elite all-NBA level "superstars". 10-15 would be the multiple time all-stars who tip toe around the "superstar" label.

He's in that lower tier elite star category. I think the only thing missing is playing at this level more consistently over at least a few seasons, consistently average or above average defense at least and getting on an all-NBA team.

A superstar is a player that I fear, and I just know that somehow they’re going to figure out a way to beat my team. I fear Chris Paul and it seems he can do whatever he wants and can’t be stopped. I do not fear Devin Booker. Sure, he might get hot, score a bunch and get the W, but he’s not a winner. He might do that every 5 games.

People saying that if he wins Finals MVP, it changes the narrative…give me a break. He’s a distant 3rd on his team to get that award if they win it all. He’s currently shooting 35%, 33% from 3, and people are comparing him to Kobe? He doesn’t have that killer instinct that Kobe had or Chris Paul is showing this series. Paul is the straw that stirs the Suns. He leaves this off season, and Phoenix is maybe a 6 seed.

He’s still got a lot of work to do to be considered a superstar.
