Him or Jalen Johnson, who people are only letting slip due to mostly things that have nothing to do with basketball

MPJ could actually shoot though, like really shoot. It was just his back that scared teams.

The difference between Zhaire Williams and Kuminga is 40 lbs and a whole lot of defensive tools. Also, Kuminga shot poorly vs. NBA quality players. Williams shot poorly vs. Pac 12.

Normally, you don't want the ball out of your best players hands. So, I don't see the problem. He's still going to put up numbers. Plus, he's a wing in the NBA.

He's been the consensus #1 all year.

What in the world are you talking about? You don’t want the ball out of your best player’s hands? You don’t want your playmaker to pass the ball?

You want your best player to put points on the board, whether it’s from his buckets or from setting up his teammates.

You’re missing the point so badly. I’m not criticizing Cade. I think he’s a great player and clear number one pick. You’re criticizing the passing of one playmaker, citing his ASS/TO ratio, and that it’s not something that can be improved. Cade’s ASS/TO ratio is even worse, so I was just wondering if you thought Cade’s not going to improve either based on your logic.

I had my very first nba draft dream last night, weird. Silver announced the picks and it went DET: Cade, Hou: Suggs, Cavs: Green, and the Raptors picked Mobley 4th.

I think people are over thinking things with these prospects. They're not going to be franchise changers on day 1. That shouldn't be the expectation. Whoever we bring in we want to develop them into the player that we think they can be in our system.

Regardless of who we pick we know how to develop players and make them into a great player for our franchise. We're very lucky that this year we can have a chance at a top 4 player in this draft.

We should trade next year's top 10 protected FRP to move up to #2 so we can take Green. That kid is going to be in the HOF one day and I'd like his statue to be with a Raptors uni if possible.

I'm looking at them individually. He's a first option, if he's passing, it's a blown play or a dump off. I'm not expecting him to facilitate for other people. He's going to be a SF, maybe a SG.

Eventually, sure. But it's not like he has to pass at all, he's not going to be at PG. It's just nice to have passing at SF, it's not mandatory.

It's a huge part of it. You don't make the shots you don't take. Kuminga plays like he's the man.

To be fair to suggs it probably has more to do with gonzangas system. If you watch that mark few interview posted a few pages back he says he didnt even want to recruit a top recruit like suggs. Seems very serious about the system being bigger than any one player. Now i haven't watched tape of suggs in hs so you could still be right but i wouldn't read too much into him being more passive in college
Yeah when u watch him in hs he's more assertive almost like a different player

I’m starting to get the sense you don’t really watch these prospects’ games. Cade’s role is projected to be a big playmaker. Being a first option, does not mean your role is to score every play. A huge part of his role is to get his teammates involved. So you saying “if he’s passing, it’s a blown play” and “I’m not expecting him to facilitate for other people” shows how much you’ve watched these prospects. I’m 100% sure the Pistons “expect him to facilitate for other people”. If you look at any scout’s assessment, he’s expected to be a facilitator/playmaker.

I don't care if Cade can pass or not, it's not really a consideration. I still pick him, cause he's 6"8 and the most skilled guy in the draft.

Here's the man dominating in football. I'm not remotely worried about his explosiveness or his assertiveness

Out of the three players in Suggs, Green, and Mobley.

Who do you guys think has best chance to be an empty stats guy? Someone that puts up numbers but doesnt really impact winning.

Green because he's the worst of the 3 defensively .

Green, by a lot, carries the most risk as an empty stats guy. I think the LaVine comps are legit.

His ceiling is predicated on learning how to play better system defense and offense, whereas there is a ton to extrapolate in terms of how Suggs and Mobley impacted Gonzaga (finals) and USC (elite 8) respectively.

I cant wait till we draft one of the top 4 and then like always with our prospects build them up quick and then tear them down almost as fast once they have a bad game or two.

Also the cant wait for the threads from bitter fans upset about the team not drafting who they wanted.

State finals in his last year, championship the year before. Minny isn't a powerhouse State, but he was the #2 senior and won "Mr. Football" for what it's worth, largely because he was really good at both QB and Corner.

Fun fact: his 2nd cousin is Terrell Suggs, who made the Pro Bowl 7 times (mostly at LB) and was an absolute terror on defense.

Green 100%. Could easily go to Houston and score and they stink. Their gm stone got no idea what he doing after that harden deal.

Mobley is a big and will be impactful at the 5 and Suggs just a winner and willing to sacrafice anything to win as we saw at gonzaga
