Draft Thread Part 8: 4th pick !!!!

I think the odds are probably around 70% Suggs - 30% Mobley at #4. Green being off the board at 2 would definitely test the Cavs' willingness to go for BPA vs fit though. Would be comical if the sunk cost fallacy with Jarrett Allen is the reason they pass on Mobley.

Why do people insist Cavs keep Allen and won't draft Mobley? If the comps for Mobley is AD/Bosh, then Mobley should play PF and fit with Allen just fine.

Mobley is best suited as a 5 man as he'd be in the paint more and be involved in more PnR coverages where he really excels. Mobley still needs time to grow into his body and could come off the bench for the Cavs. Even if Mobley came here I doubt he would start right away.

And he needs playtime to properly develop. Basically have to do the opposite of what the Warriors did with Wiseman and let him learn through his mistakes

If its just birch/boucher, best we start him. Deandre ayton started his first year and provided 16 and 7. These are bith elite big men coming out of college. He’ll struggled against the embiid’s but his length and height will keep him in there developing.

Thats fair. But i look at a guy like KD (not comparing them) and i see the same approach to a guy like mobley. Just will overtake you with elite talent. I just dont see how Masai passes on the type of prospect in Mobley. Imo he’s #1 on our board aside from Cade
