Mr. Harris actually got a thread lol.

36 mil, hmmm. Not a ton of options.

1. CJ

2. Kevin Love plus pick?

3. Beal for one year? Who knows.

4. Westbrook/Wall + a pick for contract absorbed Ala CP3 deal (overpay contracts but it frees up everything for the hypothetical Supermax/trade with Embiid?).

5. Split the contract with two players coming back Turner + TJ I like that one.

Pretty slim pickings

Last option is to use a 1st rounder for me. Harris still has some sort of value. Worst contracts have been moved fine. He’s durable so that’s a plus. Perfect tank commander imo

Don't want Wiggins or Love, don't want to give up Maxey.

Maybe Wiggins and the 7th .....

Tobias Harris to Dallas
Dwight Powell, Josh Richardson, George Hill to OKC
Kemba Walker, Maxi Kleber, Kenrich Williams

- I expect Dallas to strike out in free agency, so this sees them operating as an above the cap team instead while adding a good player that fits their core. This allows them to use bird rights to re-sign THJ and to have the full MLE to add another piece.

- The Thunder immediately flip Kemba, making the Celtics look foolish. Richardson and Hill could be flipped by the deadline, Powell is a lower scale reclamation project.

- Provided they're comfortable with his medicals... Which honestly is pretty doubtful... But in a world where they think Kemba can still play at a high level, he's a pretty great fit with Embiid (and Simmons). Kleber is a high quality stretch big that can play the 4 and the 5. Williams seems like a decent, cheap role player. Still have the tax payer MLE and T.E. to maneuver further.

Imagine still wanting to build around two centers in the modern NBA.

We need a Simmons or Embiid trade before the Tobias trade.

The flawed pairing cannot continue for another season.

Kembas knees are so messed up that Boston had to attach a good first to dump his contract for a contract we had to attach a first to dump last offseason.

He is also a 31 year old midget and those guys dont age well in the NBA.

While I do not believe Harris needs to be or should be traded if we were to do it these are my thoughts on it:

Harris & 28 to Indiana for: Warren & Turner. You try to flip Turner to another team and if no bites then use him to backup Embiid. Indiana may consider this given Harris fits better next to Sabonis than Turner does.

Harris & a 2nd to Kings for Hield & Bagley & Delon. Bagley feels like that guy that puts it together once he's off a dysfunctional team. Trade balances Kings out with a Fox/Haliburton/Barnes/Harris/Holmes lineup.

Harris & 28 to Spurs for White & Derozan. No idea why Spurs do it, but I can dream.

I really like Derozan. He's not a 3 pt threat but his mid range is money, really good iso scorer. I prefer to swap Harris for CJ but Demar would be cool too.

Can get both

DeRozan is an UFA this summer and reportedly exploring FA

Pop is a big fan of Simmons

DeRozan (S & T) for Simmons, Tobias for CJ

Either CJ or use Demar’s relationship with Lowry to construct a deal for him using Tobias (possibly more complicated as might need 3rd team)

What you trade Tobias for depends on what you get for Ben,

We might not need to move Harris, depending on the Simmons trade. He slides in nicely as the third scorer behind Embiid and a true scoring perimeter guy.

Imagine popping up on a Sixers forum, suggesting the team should trade Joel Embiid in 90% of your posts, and having anyone thinking that you're actually a Sixers fan. :clown:

Unless everyone is concerned about a Tobias falloff with his massive contract, I don't really see a need to trade him. He wasn't really the problem.

Yeah, the only problem is Ben Simmons, that's why the first thing to do is trading him.

In terms what went wrong in the playoffs I'd say he's reasonably far down the list, with Ben followed by Doc taking the blunt if that blame.

In terms of roster build and salary allocation, I do think he's a pretty big issue.

In the context of a Embiid/Simmons based team, that salary slot really should be going to a playmaking/scorer.

In the context of a Embiid+[good #2 that we get for Simmons], you're getting even less bang for your buck with him as a 3rd option next to 2 high usage players.

Like... Say they do somehow managed to get Dame for Simmons in our fantasy land... Tobias becomes what? A 15 ppg spot up shooter making about 38M a year on average over the next 3?

If you’re looking to build with Embiid, you need both Ben and Tobi to get you guys who can be #1 scoring options on other teams. Such as..

Dame
Cj
Lavine
Beal
Fox
Sexton
Ingram

The reason is you need alternating guy taking over quarters or games. Because Embiid’s availability is a russian roulette, the power of the PnR and it’s pretty much how most contenders are built from lebron teams to warriors to lakers and etc.

And Tobi is neither a reliable guy who can run PnR or take over quarters/games.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Either Tobias+ for CJ or Tobias+ for sexton and love. Maxey and Curry are the only people I’d keep off the table. Though in a CJ deal I’d like roco back if thybulle is going out.

I would completely disagree and say problems go

1. Doc

2aBench production (tobi played with this unit and showed he has no business being relied on to carry it)

2b Danny’s injury

3a Dwight and his horrible fit

3b Tobias’s shot selection and lack of 3 point volume. Say what you want but when he’s taking that many of our shots and not at 7+ 3pa a game we are **** COOKED

4. Ben’s lack of aggression
