Jordan was in foul trouble and that was the only time Pippen guarded Magic.
Jordan guarded Magic for the entire series other than that.
So Pippen was WORSE than what most people realize.
Also, 1990 NBA Playoffs, Chicago vs. Detroit, Game 7:
Pippen played 42 minutes........2 points........2 assists........4 rebounds.
Don't lie.
And from there he never once stopped guarding Magical because Phil wasn't an idiot he wasn't going to fix what wasn't broken (Scottie Pippen on Magic throughout the entire Series).
QFT
"Who guarded Magic Johnson in the 1991 Finals?
Scottie Pippen
1991 NBA Finals: Chicago wins its first title, defeating the Los Angeles Lakers, 4-1. In the Chicago's first-ever NBA Finals appearance, Scottie Pippen took the primary responsibility of guarding Magic Johnson in 1991 versus the Los Angeles Lakers .
I can cherry pick stats too. Because as an NYK fan I witnessed MJ23 have off nights too.
Michael Jordan 1993 Playoffs vs New York Knicks
3/18 from the field (embarrassing FG% of.167%).
It was Scottie Pippen who beat us going 10/12 from the field (insane FG% of .833%), 4 rebounds, 4 assists, 29 points and LOCK DOWN DEFENSE.

 1992-1993: Pippen with Jordan = 57-25.
1993-1994: Pippen without Jordan = 55-27.
Pippen put up MVP numbers and led his team to only two fewer wins than the year before while Jordan was playing baseball.
Pippen swept Cleveland 1st round without Jordan and even took my legendary Knicks of the 90s 7 games without Jordan and did it all by himself too because Dennis Rodman was not yet a Chicago Bull.
And if you want to talk about Pippen being worse than people realize I'll go ahead and post Scottie Pippen's career winning percentage without Jordan (7 years without "MJ") in comparison to Jordan's career Losing record without Pippen (throughout 5 years without Pippen).
Feeling froggy? Then leap.
and I'll destroy you in this argument because MJ is 0-5 with 5 below .500 losing seasons without Pippen and Scottie is 6-1 with 6 above .500 winning seasons without "MJ".
• Scottie could always win without Jordan.
• Michael couldn't never ever win without Pippen.
Only basketball historians know the truth.
Get froggy and leap yo and I'll post their actual records and leave this thread in tears crying from basketball laughter.
