Exactly.

His wingspan isn't outstanding bit it isn't bad. If you see how he likes to challenge shots at the rim and chase down blocks...you wouldn't be so concerned that his knuckles don't drag on the ground when he walks. lol

I don't think any trades involving them would happen for at least a year or two because...

A) Suggs will have to actually establish himself as being worthy to be the lead guard ahead of them (it's expected but has to actually happen first)

B) there's no way they'd do Fred like that lol where they send him as the face at the draft only to deal RIGHT AFTER due to that very draft pick. Not to mention I'm sure they'd like him to mentor both young guys at least for a year or two so they understand the ins and outs of the system first

C) with Harris being suspended for the year we'll need a backup SG as well so he's likely to get a bunch of minutes there

Agreed. This whole wingspan convo has derailed the thread 5+ pages. Enough please. Warnings will be given if the derailing continues.

We all better pray that's the case (even though I don't think it will be, I think CLE won't be able to handle the scrutiny of passing on him especially with previous management being a punchline for drafting Bennett). Our ceiling imo is substantially higher if we get Mobley. I know he's supposedly more of a long term project but he'd be an immediate difference maker defensively which is exactly what we were missing and I have no doubt even in year 1, he would still get an upgrade offensively from Birch and Gilly. Long term in our developmental system....good lawd watch tfo! But that would be another reason I think CLE would be scared to pass on him and look even more the fool..

This is also while most of American media had suddenly dubbed Suggs as a tier below. Again fingers crossed but I honestly give it like a 10% chance.

Cleveland has until draft night to make a deal. Let's see if they do it. I personally think they dont end up dealing Sexton but who knows. And I'm confident they arent taking Mobley because of Allen. Mobley to Toronto gains momentum each day.

You kind of go against your own statement by saying you think it's gaining momentum when 2 seconds earlier write you don't see a deal for Sexton happening...

Naturally if Sexton is outta the way it would make it easier to draft Suggs. If nott, it's going to be MUCH harder to justify bringing in yet another guard which actually would substantially damper the chances it happens if anything and INCREASE the likelihood they take Mobley because as a lot of mocks have mentioned whether it was HOU or CLE, they'd like just put Mobley at PF then look to deal Woods or Allen later and gain more assets.

I just dont think they make a deal for him and then end up drafting a wing based on their need. Either way, I dont see them taking Mobley since Allen is ready to be re-upped who they reportedly love. Just have a funny feeling Mobley will be sitting their at 4.

Nate Duncan and Danny Leroux did a prospect evaluation on Jalen Suggs last night. They don't seem to be very high on him, but I find they are rarely high on anyone in their evaluations. Have a listen.

He’s super low on Mobley and Suggs.

That means Mobley and Suggs are confirmed superstars based off his prospect takes in the past

Listening to their podcast in past years...I remember them being unusually high on guys like Solomon Hill and Juancho Hernangomez...and neither of them are actually all that special.

Ok I'm on a part where they talk about his floater and it's like "I didn't think his floater game was particularly impressive he was 9 of 14" and I'm like is it because of low attempts or what lol

Had a dream last night where I walked in the Raptors war room. Masai and Bobby told me that Detroit traded #1, and Cleveland traded #3.

Yeah, him saying DSJ can still be better than Booker less than 2 years ago is quite a take lol.

They make very solid points on Suggs lack of ability to jump off one feet, that’s a major negative tbh and his inability to move laterally defensively or offensively.

Those are his only major negatives imo.

I don't think they said anything that we didn't already know. They said he will be a good starter and make about 20 million a year, but they don't see superstar in him.
I've always thought the same and people who are expecting superstar from Suggs will be disappointed. He's still the second best prospect in the draft imo.

Thats a pretty good comparison for Suggs. A more tame, slightly less explosive westbrook with Kidds court vision and intangibles

Yeah that's the best comparison I ve seen , there's something about suggs that u can tell he is going to dominate the game like kidd with his smarts,

Roy was such a beast , one of my fav players of all time , his size and player build with handles and multitude of moves esp his pull up game was just special

With Sexton being VERY available and the Rockets seemingly zeroing in on Green, are we getting Mobley? Are we happy about that?

A reminder that Kidd wasn't a great three point shooter in his early years in the league but made it into a key weapon that helped prolong his career.

Suggs and Garland backcourt would be so small. I feel Cleveland gonna pick Kuminga or Scottie Barnes.

But to answer your question, I think we should be happy with whoever we get. Any of the top 4 prospects is going to be worth it

I think we should be very happy if Mobley falls to us. I think he’s the better prospect vs Suggs. I’m just so low on FVV on being the PG for our future that I rather have Suggs but Mobley dropping all the way to 4 would be phenomenal.

I just don’t see it happening though, passing up on a prospect like Mobley because you want to pay Allen 100M is hilarious, I don’t care how bad the Cavs GM used to be, Koby isn’t that stupid.
