I would be widening the net on the 8th pick... Players like Sengun and giddy would be on my list for sure now.

If that 6'7" guesstimate is true, it changes nothing for me. RJ has been growing on me and I'm a big fan of his gameplay and his potential. If he can continue to develop his shooting (I fully expect him to) and add to his high ball IQ and other positive skills, I easily see him as the starting SG for years to come. I'm higher on RJ than I am on Cole.

We got a steal with RJ and the bonus part was that we got ride of AG.

We should still be a bottom dwelling team in 2023, unless we jump the gun on development and sign a bunch of vets and handicap our timeline for a rushed playoff berth.

22 points, 8 rebounds, 8 blocks on Team USA today. Incredible.

He's one of the most impressive 17-year-olds I've ever seen. If you could create in a lab the perfect modern 5 it would be Wembanyama. I can't even imagine the tank race that is going to go on for this kid. I'd love to be a part of it.

I agree. His mobility at his height is unseen. Moves so quickly and fluidly. Makes him so dangerous on offense and defense. Should be perfect in a switch heavy defensive league.

Carter Jr, Cole, Okeke, 5 & 8 for Luka, who's down?

PG: Fultz/MCW
SG: Harris/Hampton
SF: Luka/Ross
PF: Isaac/Wagner
C: Bamba/Scrub
Not changing this Sig until the Orlando Magic win a championship (Technically Started 1-30-08)

The only negative for me is that the Magic had to eat Harris' contract. But around the ASW, that also will become a net positive as some playoff team will probably want to rent him and the Magic might get a decent asset for his expiring contract.

Exactly, Harris was a good player, if somehow he comes back from his injury in a playable way he becomes a positive asset. If not, our owner just spent some money and he will be gone next offseason. It's not like we would be players in the offseason anyway.

Also, we got a 1st in 4 years and at worse, that will be a late 1st.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

Gordon wishes he was the half the playmaker/defender than *current Barnes.

Mavs laugh us out the door.
Look at what harden went for.

There's better odds of us getting him when he's an rfa and we offer a sign and trade deal involving a few 1s

We will propably fight for Luka, but not so fast. Right now we hired his favourite coach maybe in few years he will at least consider us. Thats as good of a plan to contend as it gets :)
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Well, I did say Barnes was 1.1 versions better than AG.

He will only consider us if we are playing well, making the playoffs, etc. He won't jump to any place just because this place has his former coach.

Let’s not crown Barnes yet, he hasn’t hit his first NBA shot. For all the AG hate, he’s a solid player and, in a re-draft, wouldn’t be too far off his 4th slot….there are many many draftees that can’t say that. I was/am thrilled with the AG trade, but pump your brakes on Barnes’ amazing career for now.

Crown Barnes what? 1.1x better than AG was at his age?

Dallas would not trade Dončić for LB James AND Davis. Dončić is the most untradeable player in this league. Meaning: there is no package any team could offer that leads to him being shipped off. None.

But to answer your question: Carter, Anthony, Okeke, #5 and $8, well I would happily add another other 3 players and both the 20223 Bulls and Nuggets trade. Heck: Orlando could tell Dallas, "you pick any 10 assets for a Dončić trade", and Orlando agrees to that deal.
