Barnes handle is decent for a big guy, but don't think it'll be good enough to run point in the NBA.

He looks like a defensive beast, and looks like he'll be a great utility guy in the NBA that can guard multiple positions. Yet, his shot looks awful at the moment, and half court offense is our biggest issue right now.

If we end up acquiring another high draft pick by trading Siakam or something, then I'd be cool with us taking him with the additional pick.

Barnes gives me Iguodala type of vibes/potential. A good player but unless he has a Lowry type change in his 3pt shooting, then not a superstar. Iggy is no slouch though

Considering Iggy is likely gonna be a HOFer I think Barnes would be quite happy with a career like that

Kevin Love was the #2/#3 on a championship winning team who was drafted 5th overall and Sengun is taller, longer, more athletic, and put up far superior stats across the board against tougher competition at a younger age. (more assists/fewer turnovers/ more points/ rebounds/Fg%/FT%, steals, blocks)

Can he shoot threes and I thought his height is under question? Didn’t his combine measurements or something show he’s shorter than his original listed height?

Segun is probably the same size as love without the 3 point shot. He can't defend in space which limits his effectiveness. He's be put in spread PnR actions until he's subbed off the floor. For as gifted as he is offensively he has some glaring limitations on defense. Even guys who are as athletic as NBA guards are making him spin in circles. I cannot see him as a star 5 man but as a scoring bench big that I can see.

He's so young right now and he has great steal and block numbers, he only will need average defense to be an all star in this league and his offensive game is limitless. He often will be a subpar defender, but its not a stretch to think he could develop into a good defender like Kyle Anderson with more rim protection with his BBIQ. He's more athletic than Kyle Anderson by a large amount so being a plus defender could easily happen.

Right now he's a bench big if he doesn't develop at all any more, hard to see him not being a good starter in this league and he does have one of the highest ceilings in the draft, second only to Mobley in my view.

This is not the year to overthink. We lucked out and moved up to 4. Take the BPA (Mobley or Suggs) and run. If they like Barnes or Kuminga, acquire another lottery pick instead.

yes this is simple. sure maybe in a few years he might be better who knows but you go with the consensus and we been told from like every scout its cade first with superstar talent then 3 with all-star talent then whatever. were fourth, its simple, pick up whose left and go from there.

Thats an interesting comparison!

I've never been more confident that the consensus is wrong about so many of the top guys. Cade does not belong in the top 3.

Im not even arguing to draft down for Barnes but thats patently false, he doesnt have broken shot mechanics, his stroke actually looks decent. He's just inconsistent.

At the 0:40 mark.

Is it just me, or does it look like Barnes doesn't elevate for the dunk the way you'd expect a long 6' 9" guy to be able to? Every dunk it looks like he's just barely getting it over the rim. They're like Kawhi's (or Jrue's) line drive three point makes.

Scott Barnes could atleast hit his shots infront of scouts.. Ben Simmons started strong then went into brickmode.

I also think it's weird that Barnes at 6'9" only averaged 4 rebounds/game even though he was playing almost 25 minutes/game. Suggs averaged 5.3 rebounds per game as a guard in only 4 minutes more per game.

Nice argument dumbass, all I do is post facts and warning signs about Cade's terrible stats and how he compares terribly to other top draft prospects and all you do is respond with one word moronic answers.

Personal Attack. Warned.
