Wiltside wrote:I think I read Achiuwa had 12 and 7 today vs Argentina. I saw he cashed another triple too. Looks comfortable shooting the ball, it’s a good looking stroke. Wondering why he struggles so bad at the line. Must be all mental because there’s nothing fundamentally wrong with his J.

Hope Spo is watching this and will keep an open mind in training camp. He should be encouraging Precious to use his gifts, not just “simplify the game” for him. Let the kid play on instinct, learn, make mistakes. It’s the only way he will improve.

Some people like to chit on raw players, But i think some guys just need more time to get used to the speed of the NBA game.

As long as the player brings something exceptional to the table - I'm fine with being patience.

Just look at the way Precious is going coast to coast and finishes - You have to be blind to not see the potential to be more then an old school 5.

KZ hit 2 3's, brings ELITE physical tools - you got to give him the reps on offense.

These guys are far from being adjusted, but both are showcasing very intriguing skillets, they need reps to refine them.

I agree with you Rex. But not having a G-League team this season really hampered the Heat’s ability to get lots of minutes/reps into these two. Hopefully a full offseason & summer league helps them get even more reps.

The is always the balancing issue between winning and developing. Right now the Heat are in a win-now phase, so those development minutes are in shorter supply.

Looking much better today. Bam and Draymond on defense together are a lot of fun to watch.

Bam is too much of an athlete for these boys. Hope he starts getting some swagger and confidence in his offensive ability. He can outmatch a lot of teams with his ability to run, move in space, handle the ball and attack the basket. Once he realizes how good he can be...

Summer league would definitely bring the guy down a few pegs. Hopefully he’s in the gym right now working on conditoning and improving his game. The season ended for the Heat over six weeks ago. Vacation time is long over. Next season is going to be a make or break year for Herro’s career with the Heat. Let’s see some progress.

KD and Dame seem to be the only guys that can get to their own shot. Tatum has been very underwhelming. Bam hasnt played well today either.

Olympics should be fun and competitive tbh.

Very keen to see the Heat trio get extended minutes and show what they've got for Nigeria. Looking for Gabe to be somewhat consistent with his shot and be a poor mans Patty Mills, Achiuwa to keep showing some range and a more refined offensive repertoire and KZ to become a true defensive pest with some semblance of an offensive game.

For USA, mainly just want to see Bam be aggressive and prove to be one of the better players on the roster. I'd like to see him be consistent with the J.

Also want to see the Boomers get on the podium. We've never had a medal in Mens basketball, and it feels like this is our best chance to get one.

Are Precious, KZ and Gabe going to play Summer League too? Or Olympics only?

Gold medal game is 7th August, presumably Nigeria won't be in it...Summer League starts 8th August until 17th August apparently in Las Vegas.

Hopefully they get double duty - particularly Precious and KZ.

FTs a big issue for Precious/KZ - would have the lead if they (& the rest of the team) had shot better.

Playing good minutes so far.

Precious not at Bam level on switching the PnR, but still well ahead of the curve. Okafor’s spot minutes show the difference between the two.

Aussie D too much for D’Tigers.

That call on Metu was game-changing.

I think Aussies would’ve won regardless, but it was a weird call.

Mills doing Mills things.

The Heat trio were very underwhelming in this one. Hopefully game 2 looks better for them.

Yeah, they weren’t as food as they have been in the exhibition games. But then again, the whole Nigerian team was a bit underwhelming.
