At first glace it looks like a steal for the Knicks who likely would have walked away from Knox after next season any way and don't seem to be utilizing Toppin in a way that is making him look like an NBA player and a late 1st;

However, Knox is just turning 22 and its possible given minutes (assuming Love is gone) he looks more like he did in his rookie season and you hope with Toppin a new system and coaching helps you improve.

The Cavs clearly don't want to pay Sexton what he will likely end up getting and that is potentially the most Anti-Cavs decision the franchise has made in a while. While I think the package is light, maybe Sexton's value is limited due to the contract he will likely end up with. Long term ending up with that poo-poo platter is still likely better than paying Sexton on a near max for four seasons in a long rebuild.

Yeah, I sneaky like that a lot for Cleveland. I’m a Toppin fan (I’m biased) but I also like Knox, who needs to get out of NY, and there’s going to be a decent value guy available at 19. It kinda clears the way for Suggs (who really should be picked before Mobley) or even Barnes and gives them a pretty decent core moving forward with a lot of flexibility and not a lot of crazy contracts:
Garland / Okoro / Barnes or Suggs / Toppin / Allen / Knox / 19

I like that, honestly.

Raptors need to keep these workouts secret. If I was another GM, I'd just track who Masai works out and draft those guys.

If Detroit’s not sure about Cade we should take advantage and move up. But if the pistons are dead set on Green then Houston has all the leverage.

Unless we package the 4th, maybe Flynn, a future first with maybe a couple future seconds? That might get the pistons intrigued. I would do that for Cade.

Pistons only seem in love with Green or Cade. I dont think they'd make a deal with us to go back for Suggs/Mobley. Plus I doubt even Masai wants to pay anything, he can sit pretty at 4 and keep all assets.

I like this for the Cavs, but hate it for the Knicks.

NYK isn't in a position to be consolidating talent just yet. They're trending up, but are very far from being a contender. They just don't have enough assets yet, and really the only way to grow their asset base is for guys like Toppin/19th pick to become valuable. If they make this trade, they're effectively capping their ceiling (3-6 seed).

Not to mention, Sexton is NOT a good fit with their existing core. He potentially hinders RJ's growth as a ball handler and is also poor on the defensive end. If the Knicks want another scorer, they need someone who can either play off-ball or be a far superior shot creator relative to RJ. A 3rd option Collin Sexton is 100% a net-negative player.

And then there's also the contract...

That's such a Casey question. Is this why they won't draft Cade?

The Toronto Raptors need a new head coach.

Despite their best season in franchise history, President Masai Ujiri fired head coach Dwane Casey, and while Ujiri says it’s the most difficult thing he’s ever done, writing was on the wall after Game 3. Per Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, Ujiri berated Casey following the loss. Why? Because the Raptors didn’t double team LeBron James before his game-winner.

Ujiri stormed into the locker room following the heartbreak but not to talk to the players. In fact, it was far worse than that. Instead, the head coach was in his crosshairs. The team’s president didn’t hold back on Casey for his lack of in-game execution. Of course, this intensity is uncommon from Ujiri, but the Raptors have lost early several postseasons in a row.

WTF. Cade demands trade to Toronto.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I think Cade failed to provide a satisfactory answer to Casey's next question:

"What comes to mind as to what you would do...when I say the word...rock? Smoke it? Kick it?...or Pound it?"

That’s a garbage package lol

makes sense for cleveland

allen, toppin, okoko, suggs, garland is thier new starting 5

punt on paying sexton max.
I think they only make this move if Green is on the board at 3. They then have Garland as their PG

So it seems like Suggs is going to Cleveland.

Raps end up with one of Mobley or Green. Im not mad at that.

I really want the raptors to move up to #1>. I wonder if the pistons would do OG and #4 for #1?
I think the possibility of Mobley of falling to #4 means they will stay put.
