I'm guessing Miami would push for a Duncan Robinson sign and trade scenario for this instead of Herro. It doesn't really make sense for them to sell low on Herro at this point. Just a half a year ago people were talking about him being the center piece of a Harden trade. If he starts shooting better this year then all of a sudden he becomes a desirable piece on a rookie deal again

You definitely werent the only one cuz he ended up cancelling the whole stream and the other one he had for tonight as well.

The guy kept saying “I think” and said “wouldn’t you want to play in NY and Miami”

Sounds like no sources, he’s a fan.

He’s going to have to learn regardless. PGs have to learn offball play in this league too. But if there’s a guy who knows how to use a guard like Sexton, it’s Thibs. Even Randle needed to learn, and I think Randle can do it now.

My reservation with Sexton is about his decision-making.

I think he's the type of player the Knicks should gamble on, considering his age, his production and his efficiency as a scorer (particularly with his ability to score off the dribble), but I'll admit I'm not thee biggest fan of his game.

Can he improve his decision-making playing under a competent (however conservative) NBA coach and with legitimate NBA players around him? That's the question. Cleveland has been a complete wasteland ever since he joined the NBA.

His intensity does fit the ethos of this Knicks team. His skill set answers a clear need in the backcourt. And he still has a lot of upside. But he does have a little Bledsoe in him.

I'd be ok with a Sexton gamble as long as he doesn't impact IQ's playing time.

He seemed like someone that had sources to me. He said he talked with teams around the league to gauge Collin's worth and was told 18-25 million. Also talked about how Sexton was interested in Miami to play with Butler cuz of their similar personalities. I mean maybe he was just speculating but seemed legit.

The #1 point for Sexton is the fact that we don’t have to extend him in right away and he would be making low money for now while we still have cash.

Sexton was playing off the ball a bit to end the season

I’d do that Obi, Knox and a first rounder for Sexton. And that’s it.

Where's Shamms at? I believe he was Trier's biggest fan.

Well, probably out of desperation to get any offense from the guard spot, to be fair.

Didn't he (and a lot of us?) propose starting Trier at PG at some point?

I'm looking forward to TRIER UNLEASHED!!!!!

I was because as you said, I was desperate for scoring from there. Could it have been worse than Payton ? Hard to see that.

I was in a semi trolling mood with that post.

I think he could solve some issues for the Knicks. Better get a SG with some height who wants to defend and pass.

Maybe they want to pair Sexton and Lonzo Ball

Yeah

He scores a lot on slightly above average efficiency, but isn't a positive in playmaking or defense

Kind of like Dennis Schroder. Put up similar numbers per36 on similar efficiency as Schroder did 2 years ago in OKC. Sexton is 4 years younger than Schroder was, so he has more potential, but I don't think he's on a LaVine/Booker trajectory right now

It's a gamble, and a good one if all we have to give up is Obi, Knox, and a non-lotto first, but still a gamble.
