Lowry is 35 years old and FREE AGENT. No one does a sign and trade for that in exhange for a player like Simmons. Use your brain.

It seems the general consensus among Sixers fans is McCollum is kind of the baseline for Simmons trades. Meaning, that’s the absolute lowest level player most fans will be even willing to consider and any player worse than that is “no thanks” unless of course that player who is “worse” is super young and has the potential to be much better than McCollum is now.

And even Sixers fan interest in McCollum is kind of divided, but I get the sense, anyone worse than him is where the line is drawn and all fans are in agreement on that.

Would people here agree with that general stance?

I would rather SGA, Levine, or Fox but I would be okay with the right package surrounding McCollum or Tyrese Haliburton.

I would accept a McCollum and Covington for Simmons and Curry.

You look elsewhere if we gotta give up Curry too. That would be straight stupid. Phenomenal contract and player for that money. You don't just give that away. He's perfect here too. Starting or preferably a 6th-7th guy

Covington has an even better contract and he's a quality starter in the NBA.

Lowry is from Philly & can elevate them to a championship contender the way Chris Paul did for the Suns. Sixers need that veteran lead point guard that can teach the young guys how to play winning basketball.

Fawk off with this horrible trade. WE DON"T WANT BEASLEY!!! NOBODY does. Dude is one of the worst human beings int he world, and is on the precipice of exiting the league.

I will never defend Beasley pointing a gun at people outside his house. Never. But one of the worst humans in the world? Really? He pled to a misdemeanor and that’s the only blemish on his record. He’s also beloved by the team and coaching staff and on a great contract. Lol at almost on the way out of the league.

He doesn’t fit with DLo/Edwards all that great. But he’s movement shooter and probably be the closest thing to JJ Redick that the 76ers would have since JJ. Didn’t Embiid love JJ? And didn’t JJ also plead to a misdemeanor right before coming to the NBA?

I don’t see the Wolves and 76ers being a good fit. I’d hope that Fox or Beal become available. Sexton plus additional assets wouldn’t be the end of the world either.

I don't understand all of the Sexton hate either. I would take him in a straight swap for Simmons any day of the week. That dude puts unbelievable pressure on the defense and he is extremely efficient at it and he's still on a rookie deal. Sign me up!

Masai already proved he can't win without Colangelo's players. Why would he trade for one of Colangelo's guys in Simmons to continue the narrative? He'd rather continue to be a 5th place in the division finish with his team than to need another one of Bryan's guys before he can start winning again.

I dunno, that Siakam contract is brutal and he'll be 27 next season. Ownership will force Masai to get rid of his mistakes before leaving for another job. He already made a huge mistake not trading Lowry at the deadline and MLSE was pissed about it I hear. If they can get off of Siakam's contract and get an All-NBA player in return for Lowry at the same time, it might make up for it. And all it will cost is the fourth pick in a three player draft.

I think Toronto is in a spot where they can either rebuild or try to replenish for another run. I don't think Simmons accomplishes either. I think they could use that 4th pick and Siakam to get a more established cornerstone player than Simmons, and if not and want to rebuild, I could see them dealing Siakam to a contender like Miami for picks and a young player and just picking at 4 and starting a rebuild.

I don't see where Simmons fits for them. I think the best fits for Simmons are teams that have impatient ownership and have sucked for a long time and are loaded with a bunch of young players with potential who could flip some of them and some picks for a more established "name" with upside like Simmons. Or a contender who needs a versatile piece and who's legit defensively who can add a lot of secondary things to a team like rebounding, open court, etc.

That Raptors fan isnt far from the truth to be honest. Simmons should have higher trade value but Im not sure he is actually a better player than Siakam.

Siakam was the 2nd best player on balance in their title run. At worst he was 3rd he actually has a role on a title team. Im not sure I see a role for Simmons on a team with title aspirations outside of center if he embraces that.
