I would do it in a heartbeat (assuming no Dame, Beal, LaVine, etc.) and am not the biggest Siakim fan. Doubt Toronto would add the #4 pick though. Also would assume Lowrys deal isn't too bad. A lot of ifs lolStanford wrote:stormi wrote:Lowry + Bellpepper P + #4 for Ben?
Sure, I guess I could be talked into it
At some point we're going to have to settle for the best offer available.

Siakam is just another Harris-level player. Definitely need #4 to go along with him.

Agreed. Wouldn't take it otherwise, but not sure why Toronto would add the pick. Seem like they should be rebuilding.Kobblehead wrote:Siakam is just another Harris-level player. Definitely need #4 to go along with him.

Yup. Low basketball skill also. He's a glorified hustle guy with a busted shot. His last playoff showing against the Celtics when he was relied upon to be the guy was mega embarrassing.

Funny, you've not yet expressed that opinion here.

Siakam is a two way player and one year removed from 2nd team All NBA. He is a much better player then Harris.

Siakam, #4 this year and your unprotected #1 next year, based on Siakam's series against Boston.

Wait, Bellpepper couldn't even get them near the playoff picture this year in a ghastly east... Even Ben doesn't have a problem winning regular season games. This is apt compensation all things considered.

If Sexton plus a draft pick or two were the best the Sixers could do, would you do it?

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread
"Number 4 pick" sounds sexy in theory but this is a three player draft and I know for a fact that MLSE isn't willing to wait for a B- prospect to develop. They're eager to get off of Siakam's deal and make up for not trading Lowry at the deadline. You have to consider all of factors involved here. It's a recipe for a Lowry-Siakam-4-for-Ben deal, and considering the offers we're getting from the T-Wolves board, we may just have to take it.

I love Sexton's attitude and shooting skill, but I'd be worried about him as the #1 perimeter option in that he's not an elite creator off the dribble. More of a guy that needs a lot of screens to get his shot off.
I'd exhaust all options of convincing Sac or New Orleans to give up Fox or Ingram before I'd pick up any call from Cleveland.

Would you guys do this?
Golden State - Pascal
Toronto- Ben, 14th pick
Philly - Wiggins, 7th pick, 46th pick, Future Toronto 1st
Hoping for realistic replies, so that means no 4th pick. No way Toronto gives that up since the market just isn't there for Ben.

You are delusion to think you would get that package for Ben scared to shoot a lay up Simmons.

Yeah. Don't forget Siakam and Fred hog a lot when other guys are in rhythm. Simmons won't do that. We have scorers. GTJ and OG have another gear and OG especially has the potential to be more efficient than Siakam. We should do that trade.

We may have to take to it? Is there a source that this trade is proposed or speculation?Stanford wrote:"Number 4 pick" sounds sexy in theory but this is a three player draft and I know for a fact that MLSE isn't willing to wait for a B- prospect to develop.
