All I know, if you set aside the contract discussion for a moment, is that we were a better team with Russell on the floor when I watched the Wolves last season. We need a complete season with Russell and KAT on the court together to know what we really have.

I thought DLo’s effort at the end of the year wasn’t bad. He’ll never be a good defensive player but with his length, with effort, he shouldn’t be horrible as he has been at times in his career. I also thought he got better at going to the rim and getting fouled, which he hasn’t done much in his career. I think Finch is a good coach and will help him. DLo just has to accept that his role is more facilitator on most nights as the third option, not a guy that should be putting up 20 shots nightly.

I’m no stats expert, but I’m not sure we were a better team when Russell was on the floor, vs when he was off it.

I do agree we need to see more of Russell and KAT together to get a better understanding of what the two can be together.

I have the memory of a 5-year old that just stole a cookie but I recall more games that we won because of his play than we lost. I tend to believe what I see more than stats but that doesn’t always mean my eyes are right.

I'd be curious to know what the splits are in the Finch era vs Saunders era.

It’s amazing what Philly is asking for considering they are the ones moving a player they feel is not capable to help them win a championship. If they get it good for them, but we need to move on. Keep it simple… Some interior defense, good free-throw shooter, low turnovers … call it a day.

It's not a perfect example, but look at what Thibs originally asked for when trading Butler. If I recall correctly, he wanted Simmons. Only later did he lower his price to Miami's Richardson or Philly's Covington.

Okafor was pretty good in his rookie year.. If you compare him back then with dlo now.. There's really not much diff since dlo literally the same player he was back then too. If Okafor was still playing full time starter mins he would have pretty good stats.

I'd be curious to know what the splits are in the Finch era vs Saunders era.
If you look at his splits he was a -4.7 in April but a +7.2 in May (Finch took over at the end of February and Russell was injured in March). It's especially interesting given his efficiency was almost 8 points higher in April (.595 vs .520 TS%)
