If Conley comes back

Trade 1:
Utah trades: Derrick Favors, Matt Thomas, 2021 UTA 1st (30)
Chicago trades: Thaddeus Young

Trade 2:
Utah trades: cash (max: $5.5 million), 2025 UTA 2nd, 2026 UTA 2nd
OKC trades: 2021 OKC 2nd (34), 2021 MIN 2nd (36), 2021 DEN 2nd (55)

Pre-fa depth chart
Rudy Gobert/Udoka Azubuike
Bojan Bogdanovic/Thaddeus Young
Joe Ingles/Bojan Bogdanovic
Donovan Mitchell/Jordan Clarkson
Mike Conley/Donovan Mitchell

+ (based on tankathon)
34. Roko Prkacin
36. Miles McBride
55. Joe Weisskamp

FA:
TPMLE: split b/t Tony Snell and Gorgui Dieng?

That team is deep as hell and Thad would let us counter small-ball lineups.

If not 7 then maybe 14.

Warriors fans have been on board with that general trade in the past. I like it as a way to reset. Too bad it is not 6, would love to get Scottie Barnes, but I'd probably grab Keon Johnson or Moses Moody w/7.

I'm in love with the idea of Moody alongside Donovan. A lineup of Mitchell/Moody/Wiggins/Royce/Gobert could be a handful on defense and still space things pretty well.

This had decent reception:

Jazz trade: Bojan Bogdanovic, Derrick Favors, 2021 UTA 1st (30)
Jazz receive: Josh Richardson, 2021 DAL 1st (21)

Mavericks trade: Josh Richardson, Dwight Powell, Jalen Brunson
Mavericks receive: Bojan Bogdanovic, Derrick Favors

Knicks trade: 2021 DAL 1st (21)
Knicks receive: Jalen Brunson

Spurs trade: nada
Spurs receive: Dwight Powell, 2021 UTA 1st (30)

We save $15 million and move up in the draft. Richardson is a fairly good perimeter defender, and I think a bit better offensive player than he showed in Dallas, but not at the level of Bojan.

It would be an awesome lineup that could get after it on both ends of the court.

Listening to Locke, Dame won’t happen, I know reality sucks but wouldn’t work for both sides, Utah doesn’t have the assets and our depth would be terrible. Also pointed out Dame could be a bad contract at the end.
Ingles is cooked.

Right. Even if he came out and said "trade me to Utah", the numbers simply don't work. It'd take a miracle, like a third team that is basically willing to get screwed for future-building reasons, and help facilitate. It's not going to happen.

We would have to send out Bogey, Ingles, and Favs. Only be able to sign minimum guys which you might get some decent vets who are rung chasing.

He can shoot. Google Ben Simmons shooting. It’s a head issue.

Head issues can be the toughest to fix, ask Lamar Odom

I’d sign and trade Conley plus Clarkson for him. Imagine if we had him in playoffs over conleys no show and Clarkson -50. We’d have another great defender to put on Leonard/George. Also he has the most assists to open 3’s

He would have to be the best player in the world and guarantee a championship for his actual cost ($60-$80M/yr). If he was such a liability for the Sixers why wouldn't he even be more so for us, who have a center with no offensive abilities outside of 5 feet of the rim?

Philly trades : Ben Simmons, Seth Curry
Philly receives : Bojan, Ingles, #30, #14

New Orleans trades : Adams, Ingram
New Orleans receives : Ben Simmons, Wiggins, Wiseman

GS trades: Wiggens, Wiseman, #14
GS Receives : Adams, Curry

Utah trades : Bojan, Ingles, #30
Utah receives : Ingram

Philly moves Simmons and gets 2 shooters and a couple 1st round picks

New Orleans gets 3 athletic young players, Wiseman will have a little bit less pressure playing besides Zion

GS gets the Curry brothers playing together adding another to the splash brothers. They overpay a little but it makes Steph happy.

Utah gets a long athlete that can defend and shoot. Would be a solid paring with Spida and Gobert.

Anyone have an opinion on Tyler Bey? Kinda languished on the end of the Mavs rotation but fits the mold as a big wing / small pf who is smart, excellent defensively and is working on a shot… feels like the same issues Joe and Royce had.

Not sure what the asking price would be but if feels like it’s these back of the rotation pieces that you have to take a gamble on eventually.

yeah they have the worst of it. Would it change things if they hold onto their pick? Or just too far off

Jazz get cut out and Philly gladly takes Brandon Ingram. Warriors also don't get enough

Still not enough...... Wiggins has actually played well for them, and Wiseman alone is a much better prospect than what they're getting back.......

I’m really impressed with Thybulle from these exhibitions. Landing him and Simmons would be amazing

Philly does some dumb things but surely they won't get rid of their 3 perimeter defenders in one fell swoop. I would love Thybulle so much on this team. I'm almost to the point where I'd think about something with Bogey where Thybulle is the main returning piece. Question is if he can keep up with his shooting that he's had in the exhibition games so far. But man I would love him giving Rudy some help.

Covington is all they have that somewhat resembles a 4. I like the Ingles fit in Portland or pretty much anywhere, but I don't see them moving RoCo for him. Bogey makes more sense for them but even he isn't an ideal 4.

I'm not certain how much of an upgrade Covington is from Ingles. Covington has been an okay on-ball defender and an awesome off-ball defender recently, but his shooting hasn't kept up with his early career highs. It would be trading strengths. You lose Joe's playmaking and shooting for a very good team defender but you don't quite gain that one on one defensive stopper that I think we'd like - I'd be more interested in Clarkson for Covington personally but you'd probably want a bit of additional value back and need a third team most likely.
