Since I want Suggs or Mobley, ... it'll be Green. I'll be sad about it until he drops 40 on someone.

Idk how to say this but I think Mobley is more likely to reach his peak with us but I think if we got neither Suggs would end up the better player

Say what you will about Arena's, but he makes some good "anti-Suggs" points:

If Mobley is as good as people say he is he'll be a perfect compliment to Pascal for an elite smallball lineup. Re-sign Kyle, tinker and around get rid of Baynes, etc. and we could be very good.

I think whoever we pick will likely end up being the better player for our team and just better in general... that's how good our development is.

Just like Cade, Green and Mobley skipped the combine measurements to hide as well right?

Same thing could be said about Cade or Mobley in their elimination games.

Suggs is a safer bet and will be a perennial All-Star. Mobley could surpass that but will take a few years and he needs to put on significant weight. Would be happy with either.

People are talking of Jalen Suggs as if his ceiling is FVV. I honestly think Suggs can be as good as anyone in this draft, while also being the least bust potential of all the top prospects. Suggs has a ceiling of HOF Jason Kidd, and a floor of FVV type player.

Mobley is either a Superstar or Bust. The ceiling is Anthony Davis, but the floor is James Wiseman :banghead:

I like both but Suggs is the safer pick. Same ceiling and a much higher floor.

At the end of the day, I am happy with either one.

If we can get both via the Siakam trade, then we have a dynasty in the next 10-15 years.

This is sort of hard to quantify, but I like Suggs attitude. He carries himself like a star. He looks like someone who would make an immediate, positive impact on the team.

That's what I'm thinking. They won't be under the same spotlight as the top three, and they get to play on a playoff contending team, right away.

The good news for me here is that we don't have to chose - as much as you prefer to have the choice, Cleveland certainly carries a lot more pressure here than the Raptors.

Suggs. I believe everyone saying green goes 1/2 is a smoke screen. I think Green falls to 4.

Mobley, he should be the clear cut #2 in this draft IMO. Just incredible upside on both ends.

But Suggs I would take over Green, so I'd hardly be heartbroken no matter which of the two falls to us.

I think Suggs will be able to contribute right away, and I have no desire to linger in tank mode for years hoping a guy like Mobley puts it all together. Suggs has all kinds of attributes the Raptors look for in a player and would be a near perfect fit. Some may argue he doesn't have the superstar upside of a Mobley, but he can still be a perennial all-star player. Add that kind of player to a FVV/OG/Siakam core, and you have a very good team again. Add an average or above average centre and we're back in business.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I suspect we'll be seeing playoff basketball with either of them in the short term. I don't think that either will move us into a further round of the post-season that we'd have with the other.

I'm loving Mobley's developmental possibilities.

Short term it's close enough to a wash that I won't make bones. Long term I think it's obvious.

Mobley for me, he's got superstar potential. I will be happy with Suggs if that is our destiny.
