Variation would be something like..
#3 and Love for Ben
Then we trade #3, #28 and Milton for fox
#3 and Love for Ben
Then we trade #3, #28 and Milton for fox

I think the best prospect of the class will be there at #3 like he was in 2014 (embiid), 2017 (tatum), 2018 (luka), 2020 (ball).
I don't know if the Cavs would do that though.
Is Garland + Simmons + Allen a core they want to build around?
Cavs wont do that.
Maybe you replace #3 with a future first instead
#3 is the only reason I want to trade with them. I dont like any players on their team. Sexton is just a flier before his payday or can be flipped to another team. He has no value on the trade market.

There is no way anyone would trade for Lowry considering what Masai reportedly wanted. Lowry could have helped in theory, but demands were so unreasonable that it was a non starter.
There is a difference between going all in and being dumb. For example, Masai made all championship moves at a very low cost.

That's insulting, so stop itDr Positivity wrote:My Raptors trade: Fred VanVleet, Chris Boucher, Paul Watson, #46, #47 for Ben Simmons
If you think that's insulting sorry Simmons has a lot going against him as a player and he is on a big contract. FVV is good and cheaper and could be Sixers 2nd all star next year. Good argument he gives you a better chance of winning the title next year than trading Simmons for Sexton who is unproven on a winning team. Boucher is a really nice fit as a floor stretching shotblocking big.

Then you be more creative and find a third team

I dont mind this trade. But we need more not because of the talent we’re receiving, but of the talent we need and what we can get outside your offer. I still believe it would easy for us to get someone like Anthony Edwards for Ben.
If you can package Tobias, Boucher and 28th pick for Fox. Then it may be more acceptable.
I like FVV. But man.. we need more scoring than what FVV can provide.

I must not have watched enough TOR games. This just doesn't remotely seem what we would be looking for in a Simmons deal.

Sixers would be better with FVV than Ben. So I dont mind it in a vacuum.
But my issue is, if you consider everything, its not going to get us to where we want.

No team with the top 4 picks is giving them away for figgin Ben Simmons. I believe that when Simmons is eventually traded for a fair value that most of the delusional fans posting these lopsided trades will be disappointed. I personally would trade Simmons for Sexton strait up. Doc and Cassell will just have to coach him up on how to distribute the ball better. He has to score in Cleveland because he is the best player. I would also trade Simmons for Haliburton and Hield.

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread
Not that I want him or anything, but Kevin Love is much more mobile than Al, and a legit volume shooter from 3 with a pretty stroke. Also a tremendous passer and rebounder. He'd be Dario on roids and a seamless fit besides Jo actually.
Horf was a stonefooted 5 that not only wanted to coexist in the same spaces as Jo offensively, but defensively as well. He was also way too slow and awkward to guard forwards on the perimeter and since Jo was already anchoring the paint it was just a messy situation.
Love + Tobias + Jo is an issue. Shotcreator + Love + Jo is a really nice balance imo.

This is a lot more realistic but I don't think the Cavs do this either. It's not like they need the cap space to sign a star player. I'd do this by the way in a heartbeat and take Suggs. He will be everything we wanted Simmons to be.

Most Sixers thing ever
Crocked Kawhi opts in and is traded straight up for Simmons
Clippers and Ben flourish
Kawhi goes AWOL and never suits up for the Sixers
Embiid gets injured
We tear it down and rehire Hinkie

Sexton is best paired with Simmons. But the Cavs seem committed to keeping Garland and drafting Jalen Green.
Still seems to me the easiest Simmons trade is still Love and 3, though. And then flip 3 plus Tobias and Hill and 2 future unprotected 1sts for Beal and Bertans.
So U mean we should trade Ben and Tobias and 2 firsts for Beal Love and Bertans ...
Yes. do that in a heartbeat. I don’t care how bad Bertans is at defense, he shoots volume 3’s at a good percentage. Be good off the bench, and has a big salary for a future move. Love has clearly been Griffin-ing it for awhile now, and will be improved on an actual team. Should play well with Jo, and he can also be the backup C. Ben and two firsts for Beal is the price nowadays, Beal and Embiid would stomp people. Beal probably has to agree to an extension as part of the trade.

If some how some way we get 3 for Simmons I'm moving it for SGA or I just pick Suggs and role with him. He's going to be a star point guard.

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread
If Sixers are going to trade Simmons they need to acquire two things:
1) A legitimate PG
2) A true #2 scorer who can create his own shot
Dame fits both, but we have no idea if he's even available at this juncture. Best coarse of action is probably trying to sign and trade for Lowry, if the Raptors lower their demands and then acquiring that 2nd scorer using Simmons. See if they can pry a Kawhi/Butler (pipe dreams), but more likely a Zach Lavine.

Don’t see it with Suggs at all
Move the 3 for SGA and get out of Love for anything

Re: Ben Simmons Trade Thread
If TOR would to do Ben and Tobias for Siakam and FVV… you have to strongly consider that IMO.
And it actually even squeezes in under the 125% rule by 600k. Would save the Sixers over 14M. Seeing that makes me think ownership would be all over it.
