I dont see it. I think they end up feeling the pressure and taking a wing which is their major need

GMs will protect their jobs. Making safe picks = job security. That's why some will go for guards at the top, their risk profile is a lot better. Therefore, its possible Mobley falls to #4.

Sorry how does Barnes/Kuminga go 3 and 6? Are we assuming Cavs will try to win the Timberwolve award for most insane criteria to make top lotto picks? If Cavs picked Barnes top 3 then the Bennett Bust Papers would need to be drawn up as you need those if waived before first extension opportunity. Kwame and Darko developed enough game to avoid just such an embarassment.

Interesting. Mobley back at 2. To be honest, I could see it happening. They played Wood with Olynyk last season. Wood and Mobley could work.

I agree with them Mobley has more projectable skills and is a better prospect than Green. Whether he reaches that ceiling is different question.

I don't see why the Cavs would pick either Barnes or Kuminga. BPA is Mobley at that point in the draft. Even with Jarrett Allen there at the 5 you still pick Mobley. Koby Altman is running the show and has for 3 years now picking Sexton, Garland and Okoro. Sexton is the only pick where you can say he whiffed on is Sexton and he ended up being a decent scoring guard. I don't see Altman reaching for a player when the best one is sitting in his lap.

I think this is more of who they would take for each, but definitely interesting to hear their thoughts about Mobley.

Curiously, let’s say this scenario plays out but Cleveland picks Barnes (that’s Cade, Mobley, Barnes for those who didn’t watch). With both Green and Suggs there, do you check in with Orlando and see if they would give 5 and 8 for the chance to get Green? I’m torn. I love Green, but the chance to add Suggs and then either a Bouknight, Moody, or a Sengun along with him would probably be too good to pass up for me.

I agree with you, but Cavs gonna Cav.

If this is the case, I definitely call Orlando and see if they’d move up to 4 for 5 and 8 - maybe they’d want a Flynn along with that but I’d still do it. If we have Mobley and Suggs (who I rate very similarly) and we know we can get one of them, I’m all about getting 5 and 8 and trying to pair Mobley or Suggs with a Bouknight or a Sengun.

Cavs are known to not stick to the script per say when it comes to drafts .. hopefully this year is no different. Would be nice if they were considering Barnes or kuminga at 3

Valid but I just dont seethem taking Mobley with Allen there. If there weren't good enough wings, I'd lean mobley. I just have a funny feeling they take Kuminga or Barnes here. If this was OKC, it would be a lock to take Mobley but its the Cavs who traditional fk up every draft.
