It'll be whoever falls to us. Either one will be a star in Toronto.

Spoiler:
With that said, I still prefer Suggs as our future playmaking, two-way floor general.

I like both players but Mobley is a better fit for us. Going to take 1 season at least to see impact on wins. I just view Suggs as more of a PG. We ideally need a versatile SG.

Player who is available at #4 > Player who is taken before #4.

Mobley is impressive, but he’s definitely a Center and moves like one. While it looks like he can stay on the floor defensively and offensively for small ball lineups, it is something to consider. We’ll be investing a lot with a more traditional type of player.

Raps will take Suggs if he is there. If Mobley available at 4, Raps will trade down.

Long term wise Mobley prob the better fit but I think Suggs is prob the best for now.

Last year should have been an example that you still need a center to be good. Small ball only works if you have elite players to make up for it or someone like Draymond Green who can still hold it down inside. We have neither of those so we better get a serious upgrade at Center, whether it's Mobley or via free agency/trade.

Mobley is the better prospect. His combination of size, IQ, and skill is crazy. He's the second best prospect in the draft IMO.

Suggs is the better prospect imo and he's the second best prospect behind Cade.

Mobley is a prototypical Masai player. I bet he's at the top of our draft board. Masai has reiterated time and time again how much he values size and skill. Someone posted the quotes in one of the draft threads.

Mobley is my #1 prospect by far in this draft.

Suggs is my #3

Neither Cade or Green are in my top 4, would be delighted if they went #1 and #2.

I know this is a simplistic way of looking at overall impact but I really do think if we look at successful playoff teams in the modern era of ball, guard play is the x-factor that raises the ceiling of contenders. Giannis being the exception if he wills the bucks to a chip' here but there haven't been #1 c's as the key driver in a championship finals since Dirk in 2011 and we can all agree he's a bit of a unicorn. Even with the dominance of guys like AD, Embiid and Jokic - none of them have been able to reach the finals vs elite guard play.

I love the clutch, leadership factor Suggs brings to the table and I just think at the end of the day it raises our ceiling as a squad. SO, happy for both, but give me Suggs in a vacuum.

the fact that Sexton has become available could imply the Cavs are targeting Suggs.

I thought they’d take Mobley or Green for sure but now I don’t know.

Interesting to see this take, and while I'm not as much of an outlier, I do agree that Cade isn't a lock to be the best player out of this draft when you project out several years.

I think there's a lot of intentional misinformation being put out (smokescreens!). When I look at the original Cade vs. Suggs arguments that were made at the beginning of the NCAA season, and then the Cade vs. Mobley debates that became more popular around February, I don't think much has changed. All of the same strengths and weaknesses still exist for each guy.

Who do you like 2nd best in the draft?

Why do you think that?

Because I don't think Mobley is a good fit for the Raps style of play or a fit for their timeline.

He's a smart, defensive-minded big. He fits our style of play to a tee. He's basically a leaner Gasol.

I agree that the timeline isn't ideal though. He'll likely need 2-3 years to hit his stride, by which time Pascal and Fred will be ~30.

If anything Suggs is Masai's prototype. Defensive, high character, hard working.

They both are, but he's always shown a preference for bigs which is where I think Mobley has the edge with Masai.
