I like Murray but that 3p% is not encouraging.
That said if its Oubre for Murray of course I do it.

Is Stephen Curry refusing to sign his new max $216 million extension forcing the Warriors to trade him? The press is still reporting the Warriors intend to be a contender next season. But after looking at Mike Lorenzen's trade above, I would like to ask when did the Warriors brass decide to blow up their team so they can go into tank mode and start the rebuild of their team?

There’s no reason to believe Curry won’t sign the extension (I’m not sure it can officially be offered right now), nor that the Warriors would be looking to blow things up. Give it a couple of weeks.
(But no, there’s no way the Warriors would do that deal.)
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

G. Hayward for A. Wiggins + potential lotto protected 1st or maybe swap. Our defense would go down but offense would go up as Hayward would be a secondary ball handler and better 3 pt shooter so more spacing. Another negative would be Hayward is huge injury risk. Hayward PG skills will work better with Wiseman etc
If we can somehow snag Barnes too for defense with our 7th and 14th that would be cool.
Closing Lineup however dunno if we can trust a 20 yr old Wiseman:
Curry -- Poole
Klay -- Lee/ #7 or #14 pick
Hayward -- JTA/ #7 or #14 pick
Dray -- JTA
Wiseman -- Looney

No Hayward, that guy never plays bc his extremities are always falling off. Maybe for the TPMLE if he gets bought out.

The thing that kills this deal right away is that Hayward doesn't have Wiggins' durability. What good is Hayward being marginally better than Wiggins if he can't stay on the court?

Hayward is owed $91M over the next three years, he's not getting bought out. That contract is a big reason to say no to Hayward.

He'll never be bought out lol. He just signed a max contract one year ago and when he plays he's very good. I was actually impressed by how good he still is on the floor.Mob Byers wrote:No Hayward, that guy never plays bc his extremities are always falling off. Maybe for the TPMLE if he gets bought out.
I wouldn't get him because yes, he's very injury prone and we can't afford that, but he's a damn good player.

Is Paul George a viable target? Seems like it could be done with Wiggins plus filler but that's a lot of salary for ownership to take on. I think an argument could be made for the Clips needing to reset with Kawhi likely missing next season and I'm sure we could approach them with the screw over the Lakers angle. He seems like the best fit of players that may be available.

Re: Trade Thread (EPISODE VI: Can't we just put EVERYTHING in the TE?)
Check out this rumor from the Sacto board:
naushdramen wrote:Obviously there are a ton of rumors flying around with Sac involved. Wondering what thoughts you had on combining three I’ve seen.
First one is MB3 and 39 for Mo Bamba and 33.
Bagley allows them to not rush Isaac back from ACL and gives the minutes at 5 to Carter (knowing they played together at Duke). Bagley moves to offense off the bench when Isaac is back and allows them some flexibility for small ball lineups with him and Isaac 4/5, giving Isaac tougher D matchup. Also saves Sac about 4 mil next year.
B/R has Buddy and a 2RP (33?)to LAL for Kuzma and Harrell (maybe even #22). Makes a lot of sense for Sac even if I’m not a Kuzma guy. Get a 1yr look at Harrell and can fill in if/when Holmes leaves for his $14mil+ annual deal. Kuzma can rehab a little of value playing 3/4 for Kings and under Luke.
I’ve seen people floating something like Buddy Barnes and 9 to GSW for Wiggins/Wiseman/14 (anyone who tries to say 7 is reaching with that offer).
I think swapping in Harrell instead of Buddy actually helps GSW more. They can use rebounding/toughness off the bench and for less than 10mil comes way cheaper to save them money than Buddy at 18-20 and is more redundant in GSW with Klay and Steph.
So then it becomes the question of can you move picks around to make it work. Does Sac want to move 22 (and the proposed 14) to get up to 7 for more of an impact guy? Or do they want 2 chances at FRPs at 14 and 22? Does GSW as they try and make one more trade want 7 and 9 to try and move up?
My guess is Sac wants 7 and challenges GSW to make something out of 9/14/22 (Trade to OKC for 6/18?) But Personally I’d hope they can get Kai Jones to try and make one more impact move with the other FRP if they go 14/22
Sac (with 7)
Fox/Wright
Hali/TD2/Woodard
Wiggins/(7-Moody or pray somehow S Barnes falls)
Kuzma/Metu
Wiseman/Bamba/Jones
Sac with 14/22
Fox/Wright
Hali/14-Bouknight
Wiggins/TD2/Woodard
Kuzma/22-K Jones/Metu
Wiseman/Bamba/Jones
Feel free to rearrange as you see fit, I’m also guessing Sac is willing to include any of their draft picks from last 2-3 years in a deal (Guy, James, Woodard, Ramsey)
Not sure if this would be the push for the play in mission Vivek and FO seem to be on but allows for growth while not being awful. Catching lightning in a bottle with one of the young Centers, revival of Kuzma and another small step forward for Wiggins makes this group deeper than last years and probably a little more competitive.

Yeah, that rumor is pretty laughable. Inevitably, like most suggestions coming from other boards, it strips the Warriors of our 3 and 5 positions, and overloads us at the guard or 4 position (Barnes is basically a 4 in the modern NBA).
I wouldn't be surprised if Sacramento would be interested and trying to move up in the draft, but I don't think we're good trade partners. Their 4 best players under contract are Fox, Haliburton, Hield, and Barnes; Holmes is a free agent, and his price tag might mean that he will leave (it's likely Charlotte or others may make him a big offer). They don't have much money to fill the 3 and 5 positions, so of course that's who they'll target. But those are also our thinnest positions.
I have no interest in Harrell; he's a pretty well-paid guy who gets run off the floor in the playoffs, which isn't what we need.
If I don't have anything funny to say, can I still have a signature?

I'd look to swing Hield/#9 for Jimmy Butler
add in value if needed with 2022 1st, Poole or asset we get for Poole, whatever
Curry/Klay/Butler/Barnes/Green death lineup, on paper, is exciting

I'd give the Lakers a rack of basketball for Kuzma. Think they'd go for it?

Nice idea and all. Would depend on your definition of filler. Clips gave their best young player in SGA, a positive asset in Gal and five first round picks just two years ago.
It'd take Wiggins, Wiseman and basically every pick of value.

Bear in mind that the Clippers were basically getting both George and Kawhi for that package, and thus didn't negotiate as aggressively with OKC as they otherwise might have. George on his own wasn't worth that.

It was basically a salary/trade rule feasibility question. Obviously it would have to be made palatable for LAC.

The Clippers are stuck. They have to go forward with PG and KL whatever it looks like in the end.
