Giannis. He has earned it the hard way in Milwaukee staying true and building it up. They were so close in 2019 up 2-0 against the Raps. They were so close in 2020 and ran into the Heat, and in 2021 they’ve finally broken through to the finals.

Game 5 probably determines who wins.

I really wish both could win, but either way the biggest loser in all of this is James Harden's oversized ego. The man literally ran CP3 outta town for calling him out on his BS and his well known beef with Giannis is well documented. If Giannis wins, P.J. Tucker wins too and man the fact that all 3 made the finals before him has to sting.

I know Stephen A. Smith ain't gonna be happy about having to go back to Milwaukee for game 6, but I love it. The only thing that could ruin the Bucks right now asides from Coach Bud going bud light is Chuck's guarantee(he chose the Bucks to win and even though he's been wrong a lot, at least his winning % is better than Simmons's FT%!).

His story alone of making it to the NBA is pretty remarkable, stayed with the team that drafted him at a time players are playing musical chairs with teams. He should be rewarded, and the small market fanbase that supports him should be too. On top of that he's just a easy person to root for.

i prefer Giannis to win the championship jusy so it's out of the way. Hes constantly disrespected on the forums while he's sticking to his word and stayed with Milwaukee to lead them.

Giannis has the potential to get to a few more finals after the Nets big 3 succumb to age and injuries, CP3 really only has a couple years left in his career so I want him to win one before he retires.

No one really "deserves" to win more than the next player though.

Gotta go with Giannis. I want to root for Paul but he plays the game the wrong way. He flops, he whines, he's annoying. Phenomenal point guard though. Also the "choker" narrative is too fun to give up.

Giannis has an ugly game and can't hit freethrows or do anything outside of 10 feet but he's a hardworking dude and the league would be better with more people like him.

One of my friends is a lifelong Clippers fan. He's pretty well off and over the years actually became really good friends with CP3's brother. We were talking during the WCF and he mentioned he'd rather see CP3 win a ring than the Clippers just because how much it would mean to the Paul family.

but I don't care. I want Giannis to win. I don't like the Suns at all and every year the Lakers don't win I'd rather see the East win it

It's a tough call.

CP3 has probably earned it after 16 seasons.
He did destroy the Clippers in that game and finally had his big playoff moment.
(If only that had been a couple years agi when they were battling the Warriors and I wanted him to win!!)

Now if he wins he's gonna have leverage in his contract and have credentials for his post NBA career.
He is going to coach and stay in the game, that I'm pretty sure of.

So maybe it''s good we can call him a "former NBA champ". It does legitimize a long career, helps him with his camps and younger players to learn from a champ. it shows those kids a lot of long hard work can pay off.


Giannis with a ring-
It will take that crushing pressure off of him to WIN
I think he'll finally be able to relax, smile and enjoy the rest of his NBA career.
It'll be a more fun, relaxed Greek Freak we get to enjoy the next decade vs the streesed out one we see now.
I think the guy has some personality and would be a fun NBA ambassador.

You know he can smell it now, he's very close and there is no LeBron or AD standing in his way.
If he blows this I doubt he'll never get this close again and the pressure to win will probaly crush him.


It's really a major career defining moment for both.

Only one guys walks away with the ring, the other guy is gonna walk away with a heavy burden on his shoulders.

I think I vote for Giannis since he's younger and we're gonna have to watch him more and keep hearing how great he is for the next few decades.

I can deal with a salty CP3 the next 20 years.
I'm not ready for a whole series of State Farm commercials with him bragging about insuring his championship ring.

Wouldve also been very easy for him to join Luka in Dallas or jump ship and build a talented squad in Miami/Toronto, but he decided to stay. Hope he gets rewarded for that
