Sweet. Yeah I def really like Mt. Evans, but only go up when someone has a rental car. It's a transmission destroyer so definitely not recommended on your own car. There is so much to do in Estes and Rocky Mtn NP and you can't do all of it in a day but that sounds good. I usually do the whole trail ridge road drive and try to get in a good hike somewhere while there.

Couple of shows I enjoyed past couple of weeks: Mare of Easttown, Dr. Death, Gangs of London. I checked out a ton of others with no Celtics bball lol but those are the ones which stood out.

Has anybody here watched the "Episodes" TV show, with Matt LeBlanc? Why did I never hear of this show before?

EDIT: Just finished all five seasons. Great, great show. The Brits shine on it, and I also liked Kathleen Rose Perkins, whose name I had never heard before.

Last two nights after work were Miles Davis. Tonight is a Coltrane night.

I started watching this a couple of weeks ago. Currently haflway thru Season 4.

As as aside, is it true that doctors aren't fond of watching medical shows? Did you ever watch House?

One of the rare ones where I like the show better than the books. The books are fine and you wanna know what happens, but I think the show just does a really good job bringing it to life. And hearing all the jazz directly instead of having to run to Spotify is nice. :D

99% of doctor shows are unwatchable for me.
I realize they must take dramatic license & wrap it up in 60 minutes, but the medicine portrayed is almost always light years away from reality.
And how difficult would it be to hire a medical person who could tell the actors how to pronounce the medical terms correctly?
Fortunately for them, 99.99% of the viewers don’t know fact from fiction, & just enjoy the drama & the obligatory **** by docs & nurses.

PS Also, it gives the average viewer a skewed perspective on how medicine is practiced. On House, the “team” performed neurosurgery on Mondays & administered chemo on Tuesdays. Also, most docs know little about other specialties - contrary to popular belief. These shows usually promulgate & reenforce the fallacy that every doc knows everything.

Law enforcement calls this the CSI effect and it has a major impact on trials and jury selection.

I am a Johnny-Come-Lately to the Gojira party, but I have been seriously rectifying that over the last week or so.

And I haven't been to a cinema in over 18 months, but I am really, really, really looking forward to going to see the new Dune movie. It might not have Sting wearing a nappy, but visually it looks absolutely incredible.
