I think if you're looking at Sexton/Randle/RJ to be our "big 3" and lead us to championship runs, you're gonna have a bad time

I view Sexton more as a guy who can raise our floor next year while also allowing us to go after someone big next offseason. Those 3 as a supporting cast sounds a lot better, and while you are right they could shoot more 3s, I think if they were in more secondary roles, they'd have more catch and shoot opportunities.

Everybody says that, to be fair

And I think we'll just see. I mean, if the Sexton deal that was rumored is true, then we basically don't lose anything, so we could even go after a big name in a trade, doesn't have to be a free agent exactly.

Yea, probably the better plan to shoot for instead of paying Lonzo this summer. We need more firepower to really compete… hopefully Thibs could get that backcourt to level up a few notches on defense tho.

I see people occasionally putting Frank into trades.
Frank is a FA, upcoming.
Knicks would have to sign him.

Would they be hit with his cap hit?
Could they renounce him, then sign him for a reduced price and cap hit, and then trade him?

I can't see the Knicks wanting to create an 18 million $ cap spot just to be able to "trade him" but again, I'm not that well versed on the CBA.

Do Philly n Miami have the money for him? I know he’s been linked there.

Lowry is enticing, but pretty old tho. If we get Sexton prior to free agency, I don’t think they’ll fit in the backcourt. Maybe it’s better to draft someone like Springer to play next to Collin?

MPJ would be an interesting target if this team had two stars in place who had already shown the ability to win in the playoffs, but giving up big assets and banking on him to be a foundational piece in the construction process is just all kinds of no for me.
