It is Giannis when asked about figuring the ego part out.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yes. And maybe Middleton, too.

Uh, duh. The statue should be in development as we speak.

If we do win a championship and Giannis does win a finals MVP, I think it's entirely possible that you could split his career (as of right now) in two and both halves would get into the HOF.

He was like 72 on the palter comparison board for top 100 of all time. KL was ~40. If we win, Giannis would have a huge advantage in production and regular season accomplishments where KL has a slight edge on playoffs. After this year Giannis could be top 40 of all time as a 26 year old. Crazy.

Pretty cool that the Jordan/Lebron/Kobe stans on the other boards are having a panic and inventing ways to downplay Giannis. They legacy scared.

I'd like to see a Giannis screens per 36 stat compared to the season. The eye test suggests it's through the roof. Just so much more space for perimeter players and better ball movement.

Yes, but I think Giannis would squash the idea of them putting up a statue for him - at least while he's playing. That's not what he's about, imo.

Tbh, I don't get fans who feel the need to make comments like that.

Zach Lowe mentioned this in a podcast a week or so back. He shared that in a blowout against Brooklyn earlier this season, the Bucks tried this (Giannis tripled his normal screens set) and the Bucks won in a route. Then Bud kind of sat on it (saved it) till the playoffs, and went back to it early in the Brooklyn series and have been using it ever since. Props to Bud for discovering that, saving it till most needed, and major credit to Giannis for being so adaptive and coachable when all eyes were on him. There are some nba stars that can't even be bothered to crouch on defense. And Giannis gives all he has on both ends, and is even willing to triple the screens he sets.

Giannis had the epiphany that he’s a big after a fairly disasterous Game 2 in Brooklyn.

I think he took the (earned) criticism to heart and reinvented himself on the fly. Hence the dramatic increase in ball screens, quick passes to shooters up top, and renewed emphasis on offensive rebounding. He’s no longer stagnating the offense with the slow decision making, probe/pull out, yolo three point shot trap that he fell into routinely over the past few years. He’s trusting his teammates and keeps himself in attack mode 100% of the time.

He’s been nothing short of spectacular in this role.
Please reconsider your animal consumption.

This would have to be unprecedented I would think. A player completely revamping his game in the middle of a playoff run.

Wonder if the coaching staff or anybody on the team had anything to do with it.

I just did the numbers: If you take out the game he got injured half way, and the first game coming back from injury where he "only" scored 20, Giannis actually averages 30.5 PPG with 56% shooting for the playoffs. Add 12.7 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

That's bananas.
That's peak 28 year old Shaq with a little more passing, a little less blocking.

Damn, Shaq put up 38/16/2 in the 00 finals :o

Giannis could get there one day. He still has his best years to come.
