Magic would draw so many double teams because of his size and speed today, and when they do that he will make them pay for it by kicking it out to that sharpshooting 3 point shooter. Plus he himself was no liability at making shots himself.

It makes sense why most people would pick Magic over Curry, but you gave the worst reasoning for it. There's no scenario ever that Magic would draw more doubles than Curry, ever.

That's because Magic couldn't be doubled. It's better strategy to double Curry than Magic, even though neither is perfect.

Magic is taller and has better vision, it's harder to double him. Either way, that doesn't change what I said. Only one player in NBA history got the attention Curry, and it sure as hell ain't Magic.

I picked Magic, but I could've gone with Curry without much of a debate either. Curry's ability to play off the ball is something that is often overlooked in his greatness.

Magic cannot create plays as a decoy the way Curry can.

That's because Magic creates plays. If you're the best, you don't play decoy. Smh

Magic creates plays. Curry has them form around him just by moving across the half court. If you're the best you should be capable of acting as a decoy.

your argument makes no sense. I can say the same thing. If you're the best you should be capable of acting as a playmaker.

The fact that it's even close is a testament to Curry. There's no wrong answer here, both players are very very fun to watch. If you didn't see Magic play, I get choosing Curry because he's just so good. But Magic.

Gravity is huge thing and you cant find it in box score or in advanced stats. Very good example was in last Final game. Holiday left Paul wide open and went for steal from Booker. Now I can’t imagine who could leave Curry wide open and go to help someone else and it isn’t reflected in box score.

Your exaggaration of Curry's (grantly, huge) impact on defenses never ends to make me laugh. It may look like nobody else draws attention from defenses, when you read your posts.

The argument is very simple and I have no idea how you do not understand it. Curry can make plays the way other point guards make plays like Magic does but he also commands attention the way one of the most efficient scorers in history does which creates openings on its own. Magic is not the latter. Curry is and that explains why he is the greatest playmaker of all-time not Magic. The way some people insist on recategorizing Curry as not being a PG shows their total inability to process that.

Without knowing the rest of the roster i would pick curry.
Magic would elevate his teammates, but he does best playing and maximizing good scorers. he also isnt the go to scorer for a full season. He could do it in spurts or a couple series. Adding the fact that his 3 point shooting would be very subpar for todays game.

I think curry is the better bet without knowing the rest of the roster. He can carry the scoring load + his gravity will help the role players that struggle getting open.

Seems like he is more portable to me for todays game.

Magic is among the most efficient scorers ever, he's closer to that than Curry is to the best on-ball creators ever.

This isn't close. Magic could play all five positions.

Magic spent most his time hiding on the weakest wing. What were you watching?
