I think he’s 3rd on my board behind only Cade and Green. He checks off so many boxes and is still very young. Dribbling improvements and building up his NBA body are all things that can easily happen when drafted.

I really support this line of thinking. After the top 4 I feel like there are a bunch of prospects that are grouped there consensus and the mocks shouldn’t matter if you love Moody just take him.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

If we do not trade up, my ideal draft would be :

(suggs or barnes) at 5
Moody at 8
Suggs, Tyus, Jase
Bane, AB, Jett
Franz, TDS,
P5, JI, Panda
Wcj, Goga, Moe

Moody is interesting but it's an understatement to say he currently lacks offensive tools, jumpshot aside. I mean, he has a jab step and a spin move and that's about it. Those will get figured out fast in the pros. No reason to think he can't develop his offensive game but it'll take time...

well... if those are his skills only... then instead of comoaring him to Harden, he is just Middleton and im fine with that lol.

Moody is just an incredibly boring prospect to me. His floor feels pretty safe, but his ceiling feels lower then other guards like Giddey, Bouknight, && even Johnson who will be sitting there at 8.

I don't think you can easily ignore shooting touch, high athletic tools and smart multi-positional defence with good technique, as a foundation for building a top player.

But the playmaking - and even more so shot creation - need a lot of work for him to be more than a high grade role player on a good team.

He's also nearly 2 years younger than Bouknight.

I like Moody. I don't think it's unreasonable to bunk the Kuminga vs Barnes debate and just take the guy that can shoot and defend. I don't know if we're maximizing the value of the pick. He'll probably still be there at #8.
