Grabbed Civilization VI and Assassin's Creed Rebel Collection each for $20 on Switch.

Played some civilization last night and after figuring out some of the mechanics of the game play seems like a cool game especially since I like history.

Haven't tried assassin's Creed yet and I've never played any of their titles before.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Civ6 is amazing, I can't imagine playing it without a keyboard and mouse :)

Surprisingly works well once you get it down. After putting in a ton of time on KB+M I was pleased with the transition to Switch and is one of my go-to games for long travel.

I have a little bit of a RPG itch after people were talking about New World. Not sure if it’s going to go the distance or not, could see it shutting down in nine months if it flops hard. Debated taking a gander at FF XIV, but my better sense says I don’t have time for an MMO let alone one with a subscription fee.

Watching a bunch of speed runs of Demons Souls made me create a third character this weekend and give it another go. It really is crazy how easy the game gets when you're more familiar with it than 95% of the people who'll ever play it. Game offers almost no resistance at this point and my goal has been just to see how quickly I can mow down everything in my path.

If you’ve never had an account before (or if you make a new one), you can play 14 for free for like 200+ hours easily at this point.

I haven't played in years but I was surprised to see that I have 321 hours into this game. I don't recall playing it for that long.

Never played it before. I’m guessing they have a free option and then you need to pay at some point?

You can play the entire base game plus one expansion with a level 60 level cap completely for free.

If you get into the side stuff like crafting and the like, you can blow my 200h estimate out of the water. Just don't subscribe and it stays free - once you subscribe you can't go back to free.

It's a really, really crazy deal tbh.

At some point I'm gonna have to look at my monthly expenses but right now I'm happy with Gamefly. Played the latest RE last month, and tonight I'm digging into Ratchet and Clank a bit. Though looking at the release schedule for the next couple months there doesn't appear to be much there, and I know I'm gonna live on Game Pass for Flight Simulator a week from now.

Gamefly still exists?

I have the New World beta but w/ everything Bucks happening, I haven't touched it. Happy that I didn't as it apparently is bricking 3080s & 3090s.

eta - they fixed it this morning, I guess.

Can't wait. First two games are two of my favorite.

I'm glad to see it's next-gen only. Should be amazing.

Man, I am really enjoying Ratchet and Clank. I bounced quickly off the last one but Rift Apart has been really enjoyable to play. I've basically played through the whole game with just a maxed out pistol until just now I maxed out the Blackhole Vortex. I wanted to save my cash until I found what people seem to think is the best gun. Now I'm looking forward to picking up the rest of the good ones and maxing them out the rest of the way and into NG+.

Also, they have a mechanic in this game that I wish games like BOTW would have: you can flat out skip the puzzles. Occasionally you get taken out of the platformer and shooter you've been playing and you get transported to some puzzle levels. I played through 75% of the game playing all them out, and they're fine. But they're not why I'm playing the game. Turns out you can skip them if you like and I'm very glad to be able to do so.

I ended up being very silly and buying an Xbox Wireless Controller to use on my PC and Guilty Gear Strive. Worst case I hate GG, but end up using the controller to get through the Souls games.

Well, if you haven't played or heard much about FFXIV yet, you're about to. They saw a huge influx of new accounts over the last 48hrs. It would seem that people are finally fed up with Blizzard/Activision/WoW's bull and are looking for a new home. FFXIV is known for having one of the best communities in all of gaming, I really hope it stays that way.

There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension was super fun. It's a very weird puzzle/adventure game thing, but it was incredibly charming and didn't overstay its welcome.

I haven't played in over a year, but I'm a little worried about the community going in the dumpster.
