Having a felony on your record is no joke. The ones who own their own businesses will be fine but all the others will lose their jobs. They will all lose access to finance, so loans for the business owners will become more expensive. And they won't be allowed to vote or own guns.

I just don't accept this. After the Tea Party there is absolutely no excuse to be surprised at how evil the GOP has become. They tore off the mask. Or to be precise, put on the hood. Any reasonably intelligent professional political staffer who has done their homework and studied Fox News and the GOP must have known where this was going - to see Trump and go "oh that's the guy who's going to tie all these strands of evil together, we'd better take this seriously." I mean here's a guy who's immensely popular with old people and is a known serial criminal and con man. How can you not look at the Tea Party and say "he's their guy." Precisely because he's such a bad person, and the Tea Party is full of bad people. It does not take a genius to put two and two together.

This is the difference between the progressive and the moderate wing of the Democratic party. Moderate wing thinks Republicans are redeemable; progressive wing knows the truth, that the redeemable Republicans are 10% of their party. For every Mitt Romney there's ten absolute scum like Jordan or Hawley or Cotton.

I think the problem with the internet in general is it's not a lived experience. The words you see on a screen don't ever interact with the lizard part of your brain that actually makes decisions. So you can type til your fingers are blue in the face and it won't ever persuade anyone. Or you can just set a good example to someone in real life, never speak a word to them, and convince them to change the way they live their life fundamentally.

biggest takeaway is that MTG, freshman congressperson, not on any committees, and is openly and patently incompetent, is the leading fundraiser. And Gaetz isn't that far behind her. what a racket.
