Well if you are gonna call out.. why not the more ummm "controversial" posters like the "soup nazi" , that girl poster who landed a gig with the org, thethief? , the wanna-be gangsta kunta?

Oh F^%& it... if we are going with history vibes then im gonna do it...

DIENER TEAM, ASSEMBLE!!!!!

I don’t quite remember them that well. Plenty of people that simply don’t post anymore though.

You remember richboy? Now he was pure negative hate if I remember correctly.

I believe richboy moved to Lakers board in a package with Dwight.

Howard Mass wrote:Yesterday marked 25 years since Shaq broke our hearts and left Orlando.

I still remember so many things about that day like it was yesterday.

That day all the haters won and it was the probably the worst day in Franchise History. It was the end of an Era and excitement of our youth (For those of us that were alive) that was taken away with the stroke of a pen.

Since then, The Magic have had their Stars and even got back To The NBA Finals. The Magic have had better days and the fans better memories than a lot of other teams.

When Shaq left, it was hard as I was a month from starting high school and it wasn't the best 4 years of my life.

After that though, things drastically changed for me as my teenage years were close to an end. I found out about a new website launching. First, I compared research with them and almost 21 years later and almost 40 years old (Years go by fast) here I am today.

This Anniversary sucks but I rarely think about it much today because we move on and Shaq was always going to leave no matter what. Don't buy that crap about the so-called low-ball offer or that damn poll. It only gave him the excuse but it would have happened anyway.

I made it through him winning 3 with The Lakers and saying "Can you dig it" and then going down to Miami and winning one.

I have made it through all the Heat Fans packing the Arena for Magic games and chanting "Let's go Heat" through the years.

I have made it through the years of losing as well.

The thing is, All of us although some teenagers might have missed some of those or not been alive or old enough to watch The Magic when Shaq was here have made it through that.

and then, the bad Lottery Luck that seems to be a curse of that miracle Lotto win in 1993.

Still, we are here and fans.

What more can you do to us as fans?

Other than this getting sold and moved, NOTHING.

For the past decade or so, everyone bashes this team including and I am sick and tired of it.

The Magic are in a great position because one week from Thursday they pick #5 and #8.

For everyone upset about the Top-4, how many times do the so-called Top-4 Players turn out to be the best players?

Go check Draft History like some of us have

https://basketball.realgm.com/nba/draft/past-drafts

the key here is The Magic making their own luck and they well are in a position to do it.

Will WeltHam make the right picks? Who knows?

But regardless, I am excited about the future of this team and look at the playoffs this year...........

Look at the parity...............

Look at the lack of a Super Team......

If you play your cards right in this NBA, you can be back in a few years.

All this team needs is a Title to stomp out recent history.

The Magic do have to make the right moves but there is hope and sometimes that's all you need before something great happens in life.

That hole many of us feel we are in as fans was darker 25 years ago and 4 years later, The Magic landed another Star and the beginning of my time here.

There is no reason to think that things can't turn around.

Have hope everyone and to the haters living here or claiming to be Magic Fans, I've had it. Stop ********* (I typed stars and that is not the filter) on this Team.

Here is to a great Draft Night a week from Thursday.

That brings back a lot of memories! I was in middle school when he left and remember the transition years while I was in high school. I still enjoyed going to games but the energy was different outside of a few game (Nick Anderson hitting the game-winner in Shaq's return).

The TMac years were fun, but when I left the state for college and couldn't watch game I had a down period in following the team. I went from 2003-2018 where I just passively followed and only watched the nationally televised games. The Finals run with Dwight was fun because I was able to watch a lot of games but the Dwightmare really turned me off. It was not until recently that I really have jumped back in full go. Now I have league pass and rarely miss a game anymore.

I am optimistic in nature, and I am anxious to see where this rebuild takes us.

Honestly, all the negativity is a big reason a backed off posting here a few years ago. I know the primary directive of any team is to win a title, but without a superstar, it's going to be very hard to impossible. Lebron, Kawhi, Curry, TD, Dirk, Kobe, Shaq, Hakeem and MJ make up 29 of the last 30 titles. Only Detroit won with an ensemble cast in Billups, Prince, Wallace and Rip, giving us the only proof of concept that it can work, but extremely rarely. So while I certainly would have loved to see our team win a title, getting mad at players or coaches constantly has always seemed misplaced to me. You can get mad at the team for not tanking hard enough I suppose, but that's a crapshoot. One more loss and we could have potentially got Cade, one more win and maybe we'd have a top 3 pick.

And yet the here we are, snakebit again. Our best pick in the past 10 years was in the weakest draft in decades. We actually did okay picking Dipo, although we missed on Giannis and CJ McCollum. We miss Embiid by a pick. Miss Porzingas by a pick. Draft a promising potential star (Isaac) only for him to be perennially injured so far. And yes we completely whiff on Bamba when we could have drafted Colin Sexton or SGA. It's been a hard time to have hope, but I'm genuinely excited again. I like our young guys and think we have a lot of talent on the team. And I think the chances of us getting a hit with two top 10 and/or the option to move up is actually pretty high. So let's be hopeful and give whoever we draft the benefit of the doubt.

This board has an ignore option, you know. Use it, instead of asking for bans for posters who don't break any rules.

It's only certain discussions that annoy me now. There's only so much debating or defending of a player I can do that hasn't played a game yet or has barely started their career. I like for guys to play 3+ years for me to form opinions of where I can start doubting their abilities and future here, hence why I think this is a big year for Bamba.

Without Pepe, you lose like 65-70% of the board's content is my guess. Because he argues with everyone, it keeps the board active. I honestly wonder if anyone has tried to foe him? You would end up reading like 10 comments a month...

Also, this board has always seemed to have a villain fostering conversation. Seen one or two go from good to bad like Hulk Hogan as well. Some pretty good ones too. I can't recall the name, but he was around during "the Thief" years, and maybe up to around the "Dwightmare." I think he was banned at one point. Anyone have a list of this type of posters over the years?

Pretty sure it was a guy, and it wasn't the one that had inmate or convict in the username(He was good too). He would sorta troll everyone's opinion, but did it in a verbose and somewhat thoughtful manner. He was like the main negative Nancy for like 5 or so years...

I hated reading him at the time and now I kinda miss it...

Probably doesn't help

Diversity of opinion brings us together. Bashing of Magic ownership, coaching, players is perfectly fine, imo. It's about identifying problems with the team. Nothing wrong with that. What bothers me is when the conversation switches from bashing the Magic to bashing posters. Making the conversation personal gets ugly real fast and that is where I have issues with guys like pepe. Although, I do enjoy some of pepe's takes and I've And 1'd him plenty so he knows.

Fixed.

Onto Howard's post, it hits the nail on the head. We as fans have been through hell and back with this team. From players coming and going. Players making their mark with the organization. Games both won and lost. Finals appearances with no titles to show for it. Coaches both good and bad. Front office personal pros and cons on decisions affecting this organization. Moments that define us stands on the strengths of time. The whole Shaq issue. Been through it. Well past over it. When it happened, I was helleva pissed about it. Even hated him for it for those eight years with the Lakers. It wasn't until the Pistons drummed them in 2004 when my hatred for Shaq and the Lakers finally lifted from me. It was also a teachable experience for me when the Dwightmare issue happened. Instead of casing hate, I instead let him go and kept it moving. As a fan, you have to keep in mind that business trumps loyalty every time. Regardless if you're the player, coach, GM, even the head of the organization. These are everyday people who are looking to get paid, the best salary possible that a business is able to afford. It's the difficult part as a fan to see a player you respect having to move on to another team either by his own choice, GM, or the money wasn't enough to keep him in the organization. Shaq made his choice at the time. The Magic fumbled the ball due to their lack of experience of dealing with a marquee free agent in a small market organization like Orlando.

It's hard to say when that day will arrive when the Magic will be deem not just fun, but a solid threat in the NBA as this team once again have to rebuild around the team once more. That will take a while and more patience to create that team the organization hopes it can become great sometime in the future. When will it happen. Who knows? All I can say it that they can't afford more wasted opportunities. They have a lot of ground to cover if they desire to get this team built up to the franchise they hope it becomes.

Good luck.
