Maybe we'll end up with Jalen Suggs, and then Paige Bueckers for the WBNA team.

Great! This can only help basketball culture in Toronto and Canada. Really no downside similar to the 905. Hopefully Masai stays and has some sort of managerial oversight of the franchise.

I don’t know for sure that I’d watch, but it would be great for the people interested.

Might be easier to get into the league with a rooting interest.

What would we name our WNBA franchise, and why is it the Toronto Huskies?

I wonder if it wouldn't make more sense to put the Franchise in Hamilton or K/W than in Toronto. Still close enough to be affliated, but also bringing quality basketball further across Southern Ontario - makes them less of an also-ran team, and more of an attraction in their own right.

I don't watch but if enough people do, why not?

I guess my question is, will there be enough real, tangible interest? Didn't Silver say they are losing money not too long ago?

Great for the city.

Great for women’s sports.

given how much suppt the 905 gets, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the first profitable WNBA franchise in history.
