As hilarious as his finals stats were, they're dragged down by game 1 easing his way back from the knee injury. 38/12/5 on 66% TS for the remaining 5 games lmao. Basically peak Shaq + way better defense

Barring injuries the path is there for him to crack the top 10 all time

Hawks wanted to take him at 17 back in 2013. The coach at the time, none other than Bud.

Only lebron, Steph, kd can talk to him, maybe kawhi because he beat him personally but even then. If Giannis just has a regular superstar projection for the rest of his career and no more rings so like a couple more all nba teams, all defense, all stars, he’s a top 15 lock. One more finals win/mvp he’s solidly in the top ten of most peoples list. 3 finals win/mvp or regular season mvp and he’s reaching bird and magic level and of course anything more, goat convo. Crazy to think about

I was looking at it yesterday, unbelievably peak Shaq playoff numbers was "only" 31/15/2 on 56% TS LOL

WTF LOL
I don't believe it

Legend at 26. We're quite lucky.

Talk about improvement, Giannis just needs to do better with his free throws. He doesn't need 15/17 every game. Just make it consistent at mid 70's. He'll be **** unstoppable!

How the **** did he go from airballs to 17/19 from the line all of a sudden LOL
In the closing game of the NBA Finals no less

Like, how

I had a feeling after Chris Paul threw shade at him after Game 5 about his free throws he would come back in a big way. The great ones always do.

Absolutely legendary performance. Just unstoppable and clutch in the biggest stage of his life.

Listen guys, no joke. I've been watching this guy for 10 years now and if I'm perfectly honest I still can't digest what he just did.
I just can't. This is not a guy who saves himself for the playoffs, right? This is a guy who will outhustle everybody from the first practice before summer league all the way to Game 7. So please tell me. How does this guy manages to have the best game of his life, in the most important game of his life? Like how deep did he have to dig, if he already digs so deep every friggin night?

The other thing is, how the **** do you go from shooting 58% from the line all playoffs, to suddenly 17/19 overnight?? Like you're watching a dude play like Shaq all night, except when he steps to the line he turns into Jeff Hornacek! WTF?

I don't know what to say, I just ****... I don't know anything anymore, I'm in awe. And happy.

I can't wait for that Disney movie...

Will need a huge box of tissues to watch it. Two boxes if they include this championship

I'm trying real hard to temper my excitement that he could magically become a 75% FT shooter if it's finally "clicked" for him. Like, trying real, real hard. The prospect of it is kermit gif-level exciting.

Yeah Giannis missed his last FT on purpose.
All our post championship interviews and clips are comedy gold so far.

Preordered this book a while back. This excerpt is great. Some good Kidd stuff in here as well.

Greatest Buck of All-Time.

Yes, I understand Kareem was great, but what Giannis has done for small markets & homegrown talent in an age where it’s not only easy, but encouraged to jump ship to form a “super-team” cements him as the Milwaukee GOAT to me.

Without Giannis, there might not still BE a team in Milwaukee, the fact that he was able to deliver a championship coming from where he did to where he is now, will go down as one of the greatest sports moments / stories of all-time.

Thank you Giannis, we love you.

Where the **** is Gary Neal? “He can’t score 20 in practice, how’s he gonna average 20 in a game?”

Where’s Gery Woelful?

I don't think I've ever seen him look so comfortable shooting FT's. Don't know if anyone helped him get to that point, but that might have been the difference in the game... in the season... in the franchise.

Or he's just absurdly clutch.
