I've heard this narrative in a couple of different places now and I think it's wildly overblown. It's not like these guys were on the verge of fighting during the Finals. They all carried themselves with professionalism on the court so there's no reason for any unusual animosity.

It's not some big test of character. Booker will probably shake their hands and tell them that they played real well, and Jrue and Middleton will do likewise, and then everyone will put on headphones and chill.

2012 US team had similar vibes coming off the 2012 Heat-OKC finals with LeBron playing with Durant, Harden, and Westbrook and they were fine

BTW, even Durant and Bam Adebayo lost to Middleton and Holiday so they can bond with Booker over that. KD also eliminated Jason Taum from the playoffs.

Re Wall-Holiday, Wall never had a Greek Freak. Also true that Wall’s never
had the defensive chops Holiday has. In Wall’s biggest moments he got beat once
by IT and once by George Hill. Both of those guys were solid NBA players
but neither would have ever been considered #1#1s. Maybe that’s unfair to John.
I hope he comes back next year strong. I wish him the best except when he plays us.

Wall did get injured in 2015 but even then he didn't do much to slow down Jeff Teague in the deciding game 6. https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/201505150WAS.html

Wizards probably get to the conference finals though if Wall doesn't get injured.

6 rebounds for Ayton. Yikes! Bucks outrebounded the Suns 53-37.

It feels like Ayton was exposed a little bit in this series. One podcast had him as a top 20 player after the first two games of this series. He didn't look like a top 40 player during the last 3 games of this series. Also he did take PEDs a few years ago.

Ayton did take advantage of Drummond/Gasol, Jokic, and Zubac but Giannis/Lopez were ultimately too much.

For the record, I was screaming on here to get coach bud off of Atlanta. I then said to fire Brooks and hire him before he went to the bucks. Then when some were upset with his playoff success, I said that we should fire Brooks and try to get him again. Can't believe that we have wasted all of these years with horrible coaching

I think the realization that he's 24 making zillions of dollars a year and getting the opportunity to play in the Olympics might cheer him up a bit.

That's awesome. And he's trying to get half-price - and no ice, so they don't skimp on the soda. Until he started getting those extra digits in his pay-checks, Chick Filet was probably a big treat for him.

Bobby Portis was a Wizard.
Jrue Holiday was a Pelican.

Neither had won a thing. Both landed where they could succeed. Physicality and energy are what both players bring. Two-way players.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Guess Donte is the better NBA player

And if Nene doesn’t let Horford get game winning put back.

The Bucks completely solved their problems from the first two games. Budenholzer wasn’t afraid to allow Portis to play through early mistakes. That paid off.

OTOH, I’m disappointed Jalen Smith is a bust in Monty Williams’ eyes. Not that Smuth would have helped but to not play one second is damning.
That's exceptionally sad. Like what do you have to loose at that's point tied 2-2 put the kid in .

Jalen Smith averaged a little under 6 minutes per game in the 27 games he appeared in this season.

Coaches see him in practice every day and the organization has a vested interest in putting the players on the floor that give them the best chance to succeed.

There's no credible scenario I can think of where it would even remotely make sense to just throw this kid out there to see what happens.

Yeah, just throw Frank Kaminaky out there and lose. That’s credible.

Five token minutes. Take a chance that fresh legs could have helped. Coaches see practice but they can’t predict performance in games with anything more than speculation.

Smith was injured and out for Covid protocols. He did nothing to suggest he could help but he was a lottery pick.

Frank was actually alright in game 6 - his plus minus was zero. Although looked like Ayton was still gassed so maybe they could have given Smith a couple of minutes.

inauspicious start for Russ' Laker tenure. Low OMGs. It's easy to imagine
him not meshing well with LBJ although having AD as a lob target
should work well.

OP looked pretty good though for dubs. I miss him.

Dubs look stacked.
