I definitely cringed when they showed Jennings with the words "Bucks Legend" underneath him. He was fun for his rookie year and then was a total punk.

Should have been 'Bucks Folk Legend'. He is the Bucks In Six prophet, which is the stuff of folk legends.

Only thing resembling legendary on the floor was dropping 55 on Steph.

Meme legend is more than enough. We're going to be doing Bucks in six forever.

Thanks to John Hammond (former GM), who drafted Giannis and traded Brandon Jennings for Brandon Knight and Khris Middleton. He made a lot of questionable moves (what GM doesn't), but these two moves were the reason the Bucks are champs. Sorry he wasn't around in Milwaukee to enjoy the fruits of his labor (he's Orlando's GM now).

I didn't have a horse in this race but I got was I was hoping for: entertaining, gutsy basketball played by conventionally built teams, each with a best player very deserving of the opportunity to battle for the championship. Much respect to both teams, and congrats to the Bucks. I'm happy for Bucks fans.

As for the past couple years' worth of sentiments to the effect of Giannis not being the kind of player who can lead a team to a title (due to whatever flaws, shortcomings, character defects), I'm old enough to remember the same kinds of things once being said about Lebron James and, before him, Michael Jordan.

In other news, he and PJ are an absolute show at the bar down the street from my place right now.

Speaking of “Bucks Legends” I’ve gotten a kick out of Andrew Bogut jumping on the bandwagon at the 11th hour. Dude requested a trade, did nothing but **** on the city/organization for years as a Warrior, criticized Giannis’s game and picked against the Bucks all year (including taking the Heat in the 1st round) and now he wants to show love. Absolute fraud.
The Milwaukee Bucks are NBA Champions.

Hammond was also a key player in helping the Pistons win a championship. When he left that's when the Pistons started making horrible decisions.

I think he healed a lots of wounds when he came back for the Herd/Bucks cameo. Comes back with a 16/8/12 on TS% of like 63% in his first game lol. I thought all of the Jennings stuff was in good fun and no one took it too seriously. Like the Bucks in Six thing was rock bottom for the Bucks and made him look like an idiot, but he/Bucks turned it around and had some fun. Another player would've been pissed if they asked them to fly in based on an unflattery quote made when he was 22.

As for the Bucks Legend, I think it is kind of similar to the packers peak where any random former player was a God.

The dude constantly talked about leaving, said he was intrigued by other teams, openly opined for a bigger market, and at a time, threatened to sign the QO to remove any leverage the Bucks had. He was young and immature sure, but he was a dick. That Jennings cameo in his first game back with Memphis was undoubtedly fun, and a nostalgic reminder of the optimism that once surrounded him. Doesn't change the rest. Him coming back because he's a has been and acting as if he didn't disrespect this franchise and city at every turn rubs me the wrong way.
