Nobody is drafting Barnes over Mobley of Green. Not a single GM is on crack, so that's not happening.

This Barnes and Kuminga hype is pretty much fabricated hype from their people. Nobody drafts somebody higher because of interview. Every person can go on and yell how he is hardest worker. Counter questoin to every Scotti Barnes yell how hard he works can always be " if so, why your jumpshot is a** for 4 years straight".

It doesn't matter how great somebody was at workout where he played 1 on 1 vs *insert random 45 years old coach or former player's name here*. That's how Kwame was drafted over Chandler, serious nba teams don't care about workouts in isolated situations where player shoots corner 3s.

Teams project floor, ceiling and fit to XY amount of players they view as integral for thier future team. And in very rare situations where you have potentially superstar from day 1, they project near-future moves to make transition process from rebuild toward compeating as smooth and fast as possible.

I saw on OPP incredible amount of posters famming over Barnes...because he reminds them on Giannis... and project Moody to be next Middelton and Suggs to be next Jrue. I never rolled my eyes harder.

Every top player was drafted at some point. It is easy to say X player is going to be bad. it takes skill to say X player is going to be good and be right. Are you suggesting everyone in this draft isn't an NBA player? I don't really get your point here Pepe.

Moody should be good nba player.
Barnes should be good player, i just can't see what people see in him when they talk about future superstar.
Kuminga can go both ways, complete bust but also due his physical profile , he can be star. It's up to you to decide do you want to gamble.
Suggs, imo, will be top 10 PG after 4,5 years in nba. But he is probably outside our range.
I really like Mobley, but again, probably outside range, just like Green and Cade.

Kai Jones is complete- no-go to me.
Kispert is almost guaranteed to be player that will spend 12-14 years in nba, but nobody wants him at 8th due "low upside". i wouldn't mind him nor Wagner.
Segun to me is undersized Vučević.
I like Jalen Johnson despite attitude issues.

My darkhorse for good player if he gets his s*** together mentally is Trey Murphy. That guy should be way better than he is playing, especially going at rim with ball. He is good cutter, but he simply does not have ballhandling right now to attack on his own (and i don't even think it's 100% ballhandling, it's just his mental attitude where he is not as agressive as he should, given how dominant he can be ).

That card made me laugh.

Interesting that you seem average/luke warm to good with most of the people we are rumored to take (Suggs/Barnes/Kuminga).
I too like Moody and I think Wagner would be very good as well.
I think Jalen Johnson could be the MPJ of this draft (people worried about him, clear top lotto talent, drops way lower than he should be and turns out to be a super steal).
If the Magic wanted to trade down for Kispert, I would be fine with that as another asset would bridge the gap from the upside that other players at 8 would give.
Kai Jones seems unplayable in current year.

I mean I guess they are both white Australians, but Ingles was like 26 when made it to the NBA. He averaged 2 assists during his international career. This kid averaged 7.5 assists as a young 18 year old in the same league we just saw Lamelo Ball average 6.8 assists.

when all you can do is pass, you better be decent at it. Kendall Marshall could only pass, dont think he even lasted his full rookie deal

He scores as efficiently as Bouknight - should we call him a 3 level scorer as well?

can he create and make his own shot from 3, from midrange and from the basket? then no. you can call him more efficient, albeit less overall production, but he isnt a 3 level scorer, especially in a league who's defense is not that good

He is nearly certain to be a long-term 4th or 5th man on an NBA starting-5 depth chart. That might be worth #5 and is absolutely worth #8. He screams "next Danny Green".

Barnes should be good player, i just can't see what people see in him when they talk about future superstar.

I like length over athletic and probably have Barnes at a longer NBA career than Kuminga. But Kuminga will probably have a year or two with higher stats than Barnes.

For me I cannot see either as the ace-lead. Indeed I cannot see how either fits with Fultz and Isaac.

Suggs, imo, will be top 10 PG after 4,5 years in nba. But he is probably outside our range.

Sure, but Fultz also projects at this "Jameer Nelson" level of upside, which is what top-10 PG means to me.

I really like Mobley, but again, probably outside range, just like Green and Cade.

In the Dončić draft, I was a fan of "trade the roster for his rights". I cannot say that for any of the top-3 guys this year. Indeed, whereas all would be excellent additions, none are worth their probable trade costs.

Kai Jones is complete- no-go to me.

I like Jones as a project-prospect, at the 15-20 range. He could be an NBA-starting caliber in 5 years, or flame out in the G-leauge. His floor is way to low for consideration in the lottery.

Kispert is almost guaranteed to be player that will spend 12-14 years in nba, but nobody wants him at 8th due "low upside". i wouldn't mind him nor Wagner.

Kispert and Wagner have elite backups written all over them. At #8, that is a value selection in a draft. If the Magic trade down from 8 to select either, even better. These are two very, very good players!

Segun to me is undersized Vučević.

Şengün at 4 could be interesting for Orlando. If he is selected at #8, I will trust that he was well scouted.

I like Jalen Johnson despite attitude issues.

I do not. Not at all. Every draft there are 3-5 players just like him. Seriously, is his upside "next Latrell Sprewell."
How will Johnson respond to Coach Mosley? It could get ugly.

My darkhorse for good player if he gets his s*** together mentally is Trey Murphy.

Mine is Usman Garuba. There is just something about his style that could translate to the NBA. Or he could be another slogging big that is worthless on a roster.
