Why is everybody on this board so keen to trade Pascal for scraps?

Why do these Pascal for scraps trades keep coming up? I think the Raps have to give him a season back in Toronto to see how he does. At the very least, increase his trade value a bit. Either way, a Pascal trade should net you more than what we've seen so far.

Pascal is better than most players in this draft. our fans just wanna trade everyone for picks like it's GM mode in 2K

I am with you;
He is hurt and has been playing abroad for a season and a half.

I am quite content to give him next season at home with proper facilities to see exactly what we have.
There isn't much rush to deal him, he is on the books for a while.

Yeah cause being the #1 talent skill wise is gonna be available at 4 for us right?

I’m not high on Suggs just cause of the mocks. Unlike many, I actually watch college ball and watched Suggs, Mobley, and Cade plenty throughout the season as a fan who was on tWo since the very start of the season

Name me 1 prospect in the history of the NBA that didnt have at least 1 weakness coming into the league

Agreed. 27 years old and 1 year removed from All-Star and All-NBA. You have to think he has more value than what we've seen so far.

Barnes gives me 2014 Masai vibes. 2015 and after Masai would pick Suggs in my opinion. Mobley would be the best of both worlds if he drops though.

He has all the tools to be a great player. size length and a athlete. He needs to improve no doubt but i rather take the chance on a potential star than some mediocre guy with a ceiling that's low.

Look at the guys the raptors draft

2013: They wanted Giannis(long)

2014: Got Bruno(long)

2015:Wright(long)

2016:Siakham(long)

2017:OG(long)

2020: only year we didn't pick long..

noway they pick another Point guard since i think they are high on fred and Flynn. My guess is they pick another long guy with upside. they want either Mobley or Barnes is my guess. They've been building this team mostly on Defense and length

They might be leaking the Barnes interest to lessen the blow on the fanbase when we hear his name called at #4.

Once again...if the Raptors worked Barnes out on Tuesday and no other teams were there...who else would leak info that they are interested in Barnes? And who in the Raptors front office would be telling other teams about their interest in Barnes?

If the Raptors worked out Barnes on Tuesday and had any impressions of him...only those at the workout would know...and that is Masai, Bobby, Nick and the rest of the Raptors scouting team. None of them would let it out to anyone.

Bouknight is interesting as he fills a void with his shot creation ability. His weakness is that his form isn't consistent on contests. But that can be worked on.

Giannis: 15th
Bruno: 20th
Delon: 20th
Siakam: 27th
OG: 23rd

You don't pick these types of players at #4 with better guys on the board. Suggs is much more skilled than Barnes. Barnes is a high risk, not particularly high reward player. Very few players as raw as him develop the scoring ability to be a star in the NBA (hence why they usually get picked later in drafts). Giannis relies on his strength and athleticism to score. Pascal relies on his speed and length. OG developed a shot. None of these guys can score off the dribble, and Giannis is the only star among them. Barnes has shown nothing in college to make me optimistic that he'll develop into a shotmaker. And if he can't create for himself, his only avenue to stardom is to become the next Giannis (not something I'd bet on happening).

Its not raptors telling them who they want...its the raptors trying to make deals like trading up or down, etc that tell others teams which way They're going. Those teams then leak reports to the media. Its definitely not coming from the Raptors, but its also not definitely garbage rumors necessarily.

These reports dont claim to be coming from the Raptors. Its unfair to just poo poo the reports by saying Raptors dont leak anything these rumors mean nothing. Theres more nuance to how these things work.
