Mitchell might not even be the best OF prospect in the system.

Little 5'7" 20 year old 2B has been tearing up Low-A this year, looking like Altuve.

I wonder if they promote Joe Gray Jr. to take Mitchell's spot in Wisconsin. He's striking out in a third of his ABs, though.

ETA: And that's what happened.

I think the Brewers have some absolute Dudes in the organization.

Brewers could have taken Kahlil Watson, but I think signability was a concern. Instead they take BC OF Sam Frelick.

Law:

10. Sal Frelick, OF, Boston College
Previously No. 6

Frelick looks like a future MLB leadoff hitter, with a strong eye, high contact rates, and above-average speed. He’s shown he can generate enough power from his 5-foot-10 frame to make hard contact, albeit probably without much power. He moved to centerfield this year and has shown enough to be a plus defender there.

There goes Frelick, a true center fielder with a short swing that should make him a high-contact hitter even with the wood bat in pro ball -- but he's got enough strength to drive the ball for doubles power and avoid getting the bat knocked out of his hands by velocity. The Brewers have really pivoted towards valuing defense in the last year or so, and Frelick fits that philosophy well.

Brewers take 2B Tyler Black. I like.

Law:
21. Tyler Black, 2B, Wright State
Previously No. 47

The Canadian-born Black has emerged as one of the best college position players in the draft class and could push himself into the late first round, as he’s hitting .387/.500/.650 this year, still showing great plate discipline but now with more power. He’s played all over the infield but second base is his most likely landing spot.

ESPN's Kiley McDaniel:
16. Tyler Black, 2B, Wright State

My pick to click is a late-blooming, mid-major, Canadian second baseman with a spotless track record and power potential. Get on the bandwagon while you still can.

No Brewers make Law's mid-season top 50 prospects. I think it's pretty ridiculous to have a number of guys taken last week, while Mitchell isn't on there. All he's done in his first professional season is slash .300/.437/.493. Ethan Small's also dominated the upper minors this season.

Brewers might one day have a top five in all of baseball prospect in Hedbert Perez.
