Well off topic but the big story in sports in the coming weeks will be college football realignment
with the news of Texas and Oklahoma casting the first stones in their leaving the B12 to join the
SEC. Going to lead to a lot of confusion for there now is some talk of USC, UCLA, UW and yes
Oregon beginning to think about making overtures to the Big 10 (B1G) so as to not get left behind.
Fascinating stuff but imagine Oregon having B1G powers on their schedule. The formation of the
super conference that is talked about is likely going to happen.

i don’t see the pac 12 ending, i think far far more likely the big 12 vanishes and the big10 & acc & pac pick up the pieces

Four 16 team super conferences makes sense from a scheduling and interest standpoint, so expect the OSUs and Wazzus to let that never have a chance.

Interesting takes from twitter suggest its not going to stop with Texas and Oklahoma for rumors
of Ohio State, Michigan, Clemson and FSU also joining up with the SEC to create the super
conference that will finally kick the NCAA to the curb. Presumably USC, UCLA, UW and UO
would have to also join or else be left behind but eventually a 32 team super conference
would be created that basically swallows up the P12, B12, B10 and ACC into the SEC.

I think the big 10 and pac 12 merge together probably into what is now the big10 ultimately making something similar to the sec. Big10 and pac 12 are uniquely interested/tied together with academics so i think these 2 conferences make an ideal pair especially if the conference is big enough that there is minimal cross division games/travel concerns
