Might have to check out the New World or something soon. I'm so burnt out of the games I have and with the season over I don't know what to do. I might even buy Mario Golf just to have something new.

Careful, by all indications Mario Golf won’t last you long.
Go play FF14! It’s free!

Yea that's what I've heard. I thought about buying it used from Gamestop if they still allow you to return it for 7 days. I might kick FF14 down but I've never played a single FF before (surprising, I know).

I was never a FF fan prior to playing FFXIV, it plays more like a WoW hybrid than anything. So don't let the not playing FF before stop you from it, it's a really cool game if you're into MMORPGs.

Anyone use a Xbox Wireless Controller (X|S) wirelessly with their PC? Been having disconnect/lag issues using it with Guilty Gear. Did an update to the firmware, going to check my Bluetooth drivers next and make sure Windows is up to date.

I was having issues w/ a wireless xbox controller not responding while playing on my laptop. I switched to my wired Razer Wolverine and haven't had issues since.

I have the pro whatever controller. It doesn't work well with bluetooth, but the USB stick plugin works flawlessly. May want to get one.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
I love Demon's Souls in that I'm on my 3rd or 4th playthrough, as absolutely tanked and experienced up as possible, and when I realized I had to enter world 5-1 all I could think is, "Aww f*ck." It's just the worst possible world/stage imaginable. The only reason I'm even attempting it in my current state is it means I won't have to fight and kill an NPC right now for his gear. I've grown attached to a big dumb idiot, and because of that, I'll have to complete two very hard stages just to get a **** ring.

Grabbed the USB stick yesterday and will give it a go today. Hell of an expensive deal to just play one game that I’m unsure of its longevity with me lol. I suppose worst case I have a controller for if I ever try out Game Pass or for those few action games that mouse/keyboard are wonky.

As OP as I am now, there's a very special ring I need to be as OP as possible. It's very much a pain in the ass to acquire, much like everything else in this game. I was reading the comments below a blog from ten years ago that suggested the easiest way to acquire the ring was getting the shield off an important NPC. He's important because he helps with a tougher boss, and distracts a big **** dragon. So I kill the boss, then the dragon. Not easy. I didn't actually think I need to kill my big dumb lovable NPC, but I did. He dies. Finally able to get this shield I've spent the entire day trying to acquire. Realize the Strength requirement to wield the shield is 24, which is laughably higher than what I'm at (15) and there's no way in hell I'll be able to use the shield, meaning I've mostly wasted a weekend's worth of dicking around.
I love this game so much.

Yep, I was a little annoyed having to buy the USB dongle for my PC, but I've had 0 issues with it.Sauce Boss wrote:MikeIsGood wrote:Sauce Boss wrote:Anyone use a Xbox Wireless Controller (X|S) wirelessly with their PC? Yeah, zero disconnects since I added it so it clearly works well.

Re: OT: Video Game Computers/Gadgets/Gizmos Thread
Two things...
1. Thank you very much to those of you who suggested Super Mega Baseball 3... love it! I feel like I'm at a good ego level that the game is challenging, but, I can still have fun.
2. I recently downloaded FFXIV on my PS4 and I REALLY want to like it. But, I'm finding the controls and navigating through the menu's to be a major pain. Having said that, I feel like I've mostly got the combat down. Am I somehow missing something? For example, to get to the tasks for a particular quest, I have to press the touch pad three times to get to the list. Seems clumsy to me. Any suggestions?

I had some fun with New World but I’m not putting more time into it since progress wipes when it releases.

I remember it being tough to navigate in the very beginning as well but it gets easier. As far as controller layout goes, you might want to try it with a mouse & keyboard. I remember being a lot happier after switching to that when I started on ps4.

And Flight Simulator Day. Gonna switch between both. Just started installing both now and hopefully they're done in four hours. I can't wait to take off and fly around northern Wisconsin and visit all my old homes.

Yea, Flight Simulator is easily one of the coolest gaming experiences I've ever had. Took off from Chippewa Valley, found my apartment and flew over it, buzzed over to Lake Wisotta and flew over my brother's place and my parents' place. Headed north to Rice Lake to see some more family homes, and then I crashed into the house of a bully when I was in 2nd grade.
