I feel like I’ve been through something similar with the Badgers vis a vis losing to Duke in the natty. Up to about 7:00 left in the championship game, I was certain we had won the championship. We didn’t. It sucked and all, but the journey was incredible. I look back on that run with rose colored eyes rather than think “what if?” The run itself was the experience, not the ultimate (ref decided) outcome. So enjoy the ride y’all had. It was great. Players played well. Team did themselves proud.

That said, it also feels REALLY good to win that last game.

Met someone last week that beat Kaminsky in the High School title game. He said "I knew the Suns would lose because Kaminsky lost the high school basketball championship, NCAA championship....and it's just in his blood."

Scared me a little when Kaminsky had a spurt in game 6 with a few buckets but I guess he was right.

Haha. Probably not.

That game kind of broke something in me. Like had to learn to love the journey as much as the ultimate destination really quickly. Like within the span of Grayson Allen scoring 8 points. Otherwise, I may have lit myself on fire. I was really close.

Just rewatching game 5.

Booker woofing at Giannis after his dunk in the first quarter is the lulz.

All-time bitch woofing at an all-time great.

Man, I hate Booker.

I lost a lot of respect for Booker this series. His game is great, but I can’t stand the grift. He doesn’t need it at all, but I feel like he’s well on his way to being inseparable from the grift. Like a guy like Harden, take away the grift and what do you have left? Nowadays, it doesn’t feel like all too much. I’d hate to see Booker be that guy. He’s not far off.

Just **** play basketball.

Right? All the talent in the world, ice-cold elite scorer, All-Star, legit All-NBA flirtation future... And your legacy is going to be whining to refs, not getting back on D with your Tucker Carlson face and hands in the air, b****ing every time a guy whispers in your ear. That series/Game 6 perfectly illustrates the difference between the guy who goes and gets it (Giannis) and the guy who goes and begs for it (Booker). Dang shame cuz without it he's absolutely electric when he's on and a blast to watch.

I've blocked off tomorrow afternoon to rewatch games 5 and 6. Can't wait.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Game 5 is a good call, I think I've set the record for watching game 6.

Two questions for you:
1. How much of all that do you think Giannis will be doing going forward? Or he just played the best game of his life?

2. Did you notice he was moving a little slower because of the bum knee? I thought he did, and I actually thought it served him well, less running into people, better decisions.

I'd like to think he's got his title and is done overplaying but I dunno if we get the whole full time leap right now. Every season he seems to go through phases of forgetting and then remembering that he can change speeds so I dunno, definitely think the sore knee made him start the series in the right tempo and then he stayed there.

This is why basically everyone outside the state of Arizona wanted the Bucks to win. Maybe he always complained, but I think Paul and Crowder really rubbed off on him this year. That trio is insufferable. No amount of the media pushing some "oh it's ok, he's just a sore loser" narrative will make it stomachable.

Lol, my only recourse to rewatch the games I think is my Dad recorded G3-6 on VHS. Blurry lines and all!

Are they replaying the games on NBA TV or anything?

They are the all bark no bite club, just insufferable. Hawks so much more likeable, Trae as annoying as he can be is way less annoying than Booker. I'd rather take Booker on my team though.

Game 1 on NBA TV starts at 10am Central. They're airing all 6 games consecutively today.

Oh and it looks like they are doing film breakdown and analysis in between!

I am recording all 7 games and the film breakdowns on Sling. Thanks again!

Booker and CP3 not being able to mentally tune out their frustrations about the officiating is a big part of why they lost, the bad officiating against Bucks was so obvious it made their bitching look petulant and fall on deaf ears. Getting the good whistle in game 1 really hurt the Suns the rest of the series when it evened out. It was interesting I don't think Bud challenged one play during the finals, maybe I'm blanking but he held on those things like gold despite the countless missed calls so I wonder if the Bucks less confrontational demeanor with officials gave us a better whistle when it counted? IDK, I think our team was just way more focused and prepared at the end of the day and Giannis straight up was not going to be denied. The Bucks really just took what the refs gave them most of this series I think tho, if they were regular season games there wouldn't be enough guys to finish the game because of the amount of fouls. Booker out there clotheslining guys in midair with no call kind of says it all

And to think, if our role players didn't forget how to hit wide open 3s and if Bud made even one slight adjustment or if the refs don't make that terrible blocking foul call on Giannis all in game 3 in the 2019 ECF, this could've been our 2nd title in 3 yrs.
