We live different lives, you and I.

Haha. Probably not.

That game kind of broke something in me. Like had to learn to love the journey as much as the ultimate destination really quickly. Like within the span of Grayson Allen scoring 8 points. Otherwise, I may have lit myself on fire. I was really close.

The Toronto series did that to me. I realized when I'm aggressively supporting one team I miss the beauty of the contest. I guess I try to think how good commentators must watch. I love sport, all of it. And I hate when I spend the whole night after bitching about one missed decision when there was so much good stuff before it.

I'm going to be working all day and will put this on in the background. Thanks!

Oh and it looks like they are doing film breakdown and analysis in between!

I am recording all 7 games and the film breakdowns on Sling. Thanks again!

And the tech is even worse. At that point in game 6 of the finals someone should have to assault a ref to get a tech.

I feel like the bottom ticker is so outdated. Takes up 10% of the screen for news everyone gets on their phone. I wish they would just eliminate it.

Thanks for heads up on this info this I was missing second half of game 4.

True, but ESPN and other channels will also advertise on the ticker, so it has value to them.

Game 5 replay on NBA TV right now. So much fun to watch. The game 5 pace was incredible. This really was an all time series.

I'll randomly think of some dark time in our fandom (e.g. Harris getting traded, or Larry K pitting players against each other, or Bogut's injury effectively ending FTD)...and then slowly drift back to the present.

Holy ****. We actually did it.

The more I think about it the more confident I get about the Bucks possibly repeating next year.

I completely understand the Nets were dealing with injuries during the Bucks series, but I highly doubt they would've beaten us in 5 or 6 games if Kyrie didn't get injured. Since the Bucks got off to slow starts in every series, the first 2 bad losses against the Nets were likely not indicative of how the rest of the series would play out. After all their slow starts the Bucks had a total record of 16-2 in the playoffs, once they settled in. They beat the Heat 4-0, won 4 of the last 5 against the Nets, same with the Hawks, and then went 4-0 against the Suns. The only 2 games they lost were the Giannis injury game and Game 5 to the Nets when they were up 17 in the 3rd, and then Durant went Jordan mode.

Going back to the Nets series, I truly believe we still beat them if Kyrie does not get injured. In that scenario, Harden would likely have not come back with his hamstring. Also, for people complaining that if the Nets had all 3 superstars healthy, I would counter that if this was the case, then losing DDV was not fair to the Bucks either. I'm not saying DDV is Kyrie or Harden, but for a team lacking guard depth, losing DDV was devastating.

I don't worry about Kyrie. Dude is a sieve on defense and the Nets get all the ISO scoring they need from KD anyway, he is more or less redundant on that team. DDV and Jrue will take turns making his life miserable, in the end he will still get his 20, but at the same time he will take 10 off KD and give up 10 on defense.

It's Harden that is the problem. Harden has found a spot on D near the block where he's actually a net positive because he's pretty unmovable. He doesn't really do very much but you will notice his player always being forced to fadeaways somehow, and that player was actually Giannis a couple of times. And he boxes out pretty hard as well. But most importantly he is a genius passer, he does things KD and Kyrie could never dream of. The whole offense is different with Harden, if he doesn't score he always somehow finds a lob or an open man or a foul, and he never looks to take shots away from KD, so whatever he does comes on top of what KD does.

The Bucks best chance of repeating is if Giannis inexplicably takes another step. At some point you’d have to think he’s topped out but so far he’s gotten better every year. Fingers crossed.

I mean in that Finals alone he was a different beast. If he sustains that it will be the biggest step he's ever made so far.
Giannis with mid range shots? And pump fakes? And near perfect decision making, and turning into Jeff Hornacek at the free throw line?
Sheesh...

Yeah, if the Giannis we saw in the Finals is the Giannis we're going to get from here on out, this is going to be fun ride over the next 7 or 8 years.

Will Harden show up to camp looking like he's ready to drive the lane or drive the team bus? Physically, he's like an Embiid roll of the dice. We'll see if he's motivated this year.

Yeah, Harden being healthy would definitely make the Nets a tough out next year.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Blake Griffin stepped in and became the 2nd best player on that team during the Bucks series. Sure, the Nets will attract other ring chasers for the minimum, but likely won't have the same impact as Blake did.

Today's random championship memory is the time Teague randomly hit three threes and sunk Atlanta, his former team, before returning to the shell of a guard he was for the rest of his tenure.

Thanks, Jeff.
